| Tuner Installation:
2. As each tuner is installed in the headstock, lightly tighten each fastening nut so that the tuner is still allowed a little movement in the headstock. This will allow each tuner to be positioned and aligned with the other tuners (FIG.3) before being secured tightly with the fastening nuts. 3. After all the tuners are mounted on the headstock, align the key locks (FIG.3) parallel to the edge of the headstock, |
while holding each tuner firmly by hand, tighten its fastening nut. Repeat this process for each tuner until all tuners have been fastened into place. 4. Turn the face of the headstock toward you and check the visual alignment of the tuners in relation to the headstock. If any of the tuners are misaligned, simply loosen the fastening nut for that tuner, reposition the tuner and re-tighten the fastening nut. |
 5. Once all the tuners are aligned and fastened into place, turn the headstock back facing (FIG.3) and locate the wood screw holes in each of the key locks. 6. In the center of the key lock screw hole, drill a pilot hole into the headstock about 1/4" deep with a 5/64" drill. Install the wood screw and tighten snugly into place. |
