Nature's Beauty See & Do Keep Alert! A Helping Hand |
I sit and stare at this beautiful and magnificent view of our home thinking of all it's wondrous diversities with a sad uncertainty of how much longer can it prosper. Pollution of all kinds (land, air, and water), over indulgences in resource use (fisheries, forestry, mining, wildlife hunting, land development) for personal pleasure and commerce. I'm afraid that I haven't really anything to say that is very positive, except to mention the small groups out there (relative to the population as a whole) and some individuals that are trying their best to save, protect and promote our planets' well being so that there is and will be a place to call home, now and for future generations. Unfortunately most of us, although we may see the plight we're in, feel helpless or are in the greed blitz that a capitalist society breeds. And then there are those who are simply the products of capitalism, claiming ignorance (it's much easier)! Yes, I do blame capitalism for most of, if not all, our planets problems because of the greed it produces, which in turn creates a lack of commitment, concern and care (as long as I get mine)! I'm still, however, the eternal optimist believing that somehow we'll all get our act together and stop destroying and start rebuilding our home into it's former state of natural beauty and cohesion |
