Third Millennium, First Lunar Eclipse

When I look into the night sky I can see and feel it's magnificent grandeur and immensity, making me feel relatively insignificant, and yet somehow at peace. The wonders are endless, the beauty and power beyond words, an ongoing masterpiece.  Our curiosity and awe so intense, we strive to explore into it's furthest depths to know our 'place', conquer the unknown and seek out the artist.

Since the dawn of time man has looked to the stars for answers to our origin, our destiny and to the effects of our natural surroundings.  Technology today allows us to see further into space than ever before enabling us to view our universe in action, foresee possible dangers, watch as natural phenomena's unfold , collect and analyze data from these experiences. In doing so, we are continuously inspired leading us to develop new, beneficial technologies,  answers or theories to our questions.

Exploring the heavens have given us some peace of mind and reassurance as to what's out there in the dark, helping us to diffuse or deal with our expectations and  fears of the unknown.  It gives us hope for our future in that we may find new resources to benefit from or avert potential disasters, or simply have us realize how precious our earth is.  But I wonder, given our irresponsible show here on Earth, should we disturb anything out there
