Off to catch some fishies! Labor Day Weekend, 2001 |
|
|
|
My grandparents rented a cute cabin on Lake Gogebic for a week, and I came down from school (about a 1.5 hour drive) to see them for the weekend and do some fishing. It was really too windy to do a lot of that, but we tried! |

A pretty sunset from out in the boat on the lake, over our little cabin, which you can see if you look really close. |

The first fish I caught, a rock bass, off the dock. He's pretty big for a rock bass. Grandma's photo skills too. |

I love this picture. Grandma and Grandpa just fishin'. Looks so natural, doesn't it? |

The second fish I caught, a walleye, but not more than adolescent I'd say. He was bigger than the 3" one I caught the next day though. And more of Grandma's photo skills. |

How cute are they sitting kinda by the fire making s'mores? |

And that's our prize walleye. Or barely legal, however you want to look at it. I though 15" was pretty big for a fish. And yes, that's my favorite sweatshirt. Grandpa took this one. |
