Letter received from new member…..
“Dear Billie Ruth
and group,
You will never know the joy that has been
mine since I found the ad in the paper stating the meeting time and location of
the quilting group. Advanced age has
increased my health problems thus eliminating most of my former activities;
yet, the interest in hand work has not been completely erased. Hopefully, it will be God’s will that I can
continue to drive and use my hands and eyes to keep me “going”. I do appreciate the fellowship shared each
month, and it is so encouraging to see the enthusiasm shown by all the
members. Such isn’t always true. Usually three or four enthusiastic members
carry the load and the others “enjoy the ride”.
Even though I can not offer my service in
many situations, please feel assured that I will gladly serve for short periods
of time in a sitting type assignment. I
look healthy but, due to both hip replacements and “Old Man Arthur” (arthritis)
taking their share of my former health, I am limited to my activities.
If you need additional quilts, I can
secure another. Hopefully, the quilt
show will be a tremendous success!
Sincerely,
Flo Cain
