About the Sister:
I remember when i first saw the Davis campus 2 years ago. It seemed like a big place to me, it was also extremly hot. I do not think I have experienced heat like that before, but that is besides my point. I was like a small, I really do mean small, fish in a very large pond. I really did not expect to be in Davis. To be quite honest with you I had never heard of Davis before I was accepted. As I walked around the campus, I tried to picture myself attending and going to classes here. It was an odd feeling to be on the campus, but I still decided to come. I attended the Summer Program (STEP) in Davis that summer. I met many people and discovered more about the school. Finally it was time to venture into the world of the college student. Fall quater had arrived and I found myself lost in the college world. I was so preoccupied with getting my education that I did not meet many new people or have any fun at that. When Winter quarter came along, 2 of my friends that I had met in the summer program convinced me to go to an informational for a sorority. At that point I really had not thought about joining one. I remember my older brothers discouraging me from doing that because they know what that kind of life was, but i attending that informational anyways. I was curious about it. I walked into the Wellman room expecting the superficial, typical sorority girls that I saw on TV, but to my surprise I saw Professional Women. They were dressed up as if it was a business meeting. The informational had started and I realized the chemistry these girls had with one another. It was not like anyother organization. They seemed in tuned with one another and had sincere love for eachother. I then decided to pursue and move on with the organization. Through the thick and thin I have never, ever regret what I have done. It was well worth it because I know that I have sisters who are always there for me and support me no matter what. That sincere love for eachother became a sincere love back. Lambda Sigma Gamma has taught me so much more than books can ever teach me. It has taught me about other people, but most importantly it has taught me more about myself. Each day I look back on my adventures and you know what, I do not regret any. My love for this organization and my sisters is more than anyone would ever know.
