| My photographs give me ideas on what to draw. I found this flower on a bush in Balboa Park. and plan to draw this someday. I especially love the 5-point star shape in the center of this flower. |
| It's not often that I have scheduled time to use my colored pencils which are great for when I'm in a painterly mood. We have a small flat, and using oils or acrylics takes up too much space to get on with our daily lives. I decided pencils were the way to go in the meantime.. |

| I attribute most of my love of drawing to all of those in my past that had remarkable talent. Molly Bostad, Barbara Tally, Tim Reeves, David Hollander, Mike Sief, Kevin Conn, Lee Myers, Janet Myers, Jean Barlow and Denver Tuttle. I hope you are all well and still creating and producing the magic. Also, I would like to mention inspirational artists Romaine Brooks for her sensitivity and ambition as a gal working during suppressed times, Le Trajet, circa 1911. Vincent van Gogh, because of his bold use of color and line, Starry Night and Wassily Kandinsky for his freedom and analytical comprehension of space, line and musical vision of color.
