Walking Liberty Half DollarThis is my first attempt at a Registry Set. Walking Liberty halves were produced from 1916-1947. However, instead of collecting the entire set, I have chosen to complete the "Short Set" of Walkers from 1941-1947. I selected this set for the love of the coin design. Also, for another challenge, I have decided to try for all one grade - MS64. |
|  Franklin Half Dollar   Franklin Proof Half DollarI have decided to start several other type sets. The main reasoning behind this is while I have attended several coin shows, sometimes I did not even find a Walking Liberty Half Dollar, in a certain grade, that I needed for my set of Walkers. So, in order to continue to actively collect, I have decided to collect Franklin Half Dollars. |

Kennedy Half Dollar  Kennedy Proof Half Dollar
The Kennedy Half Dollar requires a lot of coins to complete the series - 69! However, most are relatively inexpensive in mid-MS (Mint State) grades. But if you add the Kennedy Proof set, you add another 51 coins. So this series can become quite challenging, especially when you try and locate Cameo or Deep Cameo coins.

Morgan Dollar
The Morgan Dollar is probably the most sought after US coin in history. Few coins command the respect (and prices) of rare Mint State Morgan Dollars. For exmaple, a 1893-S Morgan Dollar in mid Mint State (ie: MS-65) goes for a whopping $275,000, if you are lucky enough to find one. This set will take a life-time to complete, and will be done in lower grades.

Eisenhower Dollar  Eisenhower Proof Dollar
The Eisenhower Dollar type set has only 21 coins in its set, compared to 91 coins required for the Morgan Dollar set. Plus, prices are a whole lot more reasonable. So, I have decided to work on the Eisenhower type set, mostly to satisfy my hobby of collecting coins, but in the meantime not to go bankrupted collecting Morgans.

20th Century Type Set
The 20th Century Type Set is a popular set to collect. The advantage of this set is that it gives the collector a wide variety of coins to collect. Instead of just collecting all silver coins, such as with the Walking Liberty Halves or Franklin Halves; the collector will be able to look at earlier copper coins as well as modern coins such as the Statehood Quarters.
