    Managed team of IT professionals and contractors in the development and support of an e-Business Extranet using Broadvision, Netscape Server, and Oracle. The website serves the division's channel partners, suppliers and service customers. Server side Javascript templates, HTML and CGIs were used to provide personalized and dynamic content and custom functionality. Included were e-Commerce (product configuration, web ordering, order status, pricing, e-billing) against Oracle ERP, Engineering Change Control against SDRC Metaphase, and Service functionality against Clarify. Managed internal developers and contracted experts. Participated in customer needs analysis and conceptual design. Managed change control.

  • Intranet Management.  1996 to 1999

    Managed small group of IT professionals in the development and support of division's Intranet Server. Developed web applications to serve Employees: Conference Room Scheduling, Headline posting, Employee Training, MSDS, File conversion (PDF, TIFF), Content Publishing. Managed web space and internal consulting for departments providing their own web content. Managed web server/browser hardware and software upgrades, 3rd party software tools. Developed third generation PDM environment to web based version using SDRC Metaweb. System still in use today.

  • Engineering Information Management.  1992 to 1996

    Architected and deployed PDM system using SDRC Metaphase. System includes Electronic Print Room (scanned engineering documents), Electronic Release (workflow and file management), and ECN workflow. Managed project to transfer paper vaults to electronic formats. Managed internal and external resources in development of 2nd generation PDM system.

  • Mechanical Engineering.  1983 to 1992

    Designed and developed electro-mechanical packaging for Motorola products. Provided mechanical analyses such as thermal, stress and tolerance. Managed development of two product platforms. Guided department in MCAD technologies such as solid modeling, FEA, IGES, product data management, electronic file transfer. Provided custom and integrated commands in the MCAD application (Intergraph EMS) for document formatting, IGES file generation.
