My father, John Stevenson, had his first relations with Mr. Boyd when the Brethren and Baptists shared in open air services by the old post office in Sudbury. It was during those years, through word, literature, and study of God's Word, that my father, through much struggle of soul, came to see the sovereignty of God, the finality and everlasting sufficiency of Christ's one sacrifice which ended all sacrifice forever, and the perfect and necessary work of the Holy Spirit if there is to be any effectual work of salvation.
It was as a result of this change in doctrinal belief that he went to work with Mr. Boyd in 1954, and laboured with him until God called him home in 1965.
I was led to the Lord under Mr. Boyd's ministry thirty-five years ago and, with his encouragement, have sought to serve in Sunday School and children's work over those years. My wife and children also have benefitted greatly under his ministry.
