Excerpts From Our Mailbox

Dr. John Boyd,                                                                                                                                      Dewitt, Mich. 7-30-83

Dear Brother Boyd,

I met you at Blacksburg, Va. a few years back, although I had been taking the Researcher magazine some time before that. I like most of your answers and now I need help. I was talking "our language" (Amillennial) to a bright young Preacher-friend at Camp meeting yesterday and he said (quote) "If the devil has been bound every since Christ's enthronement, WAS HE BOUND DURING THE DARK AGES WHEN THE PAPACY HELD EUROPE IN THRALL??"

I could not answer him.

Will you kindly send me the answer to give to him?

We both need to know. Thank you for your help.

Your brother in Jesus Christ,

E.E.R.

 Dear Brother Boyd:

Ignore my card. I got the Researcher yesterday. Many thanks.

One of the most important verses about the land is what the Lord says himself:

"The land shall not be sold forever: for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me" (Lev. 25:23)

While Israel had the use of it, the Lord kept the title. Only twice — once under Joshua and again under the decree of Cyrus — was Israel authorized to take the land. But not since I have always been pro-Israel, but it seems that under the Nazi persecutions that Israel sought protection in O.T. promises of the land, instead of seeking protection from the Christ of God. After the Babylonians took Jerusalem, they sought protection by going to Egypt, instead of obeying the Lord as directed by Jeremiah the prophet. The present situation seems like a replay of what Jeremiah writes about.

Respectfully,

Ralph R. Bell

A Cry For Prayerful Help

(This letter comes from an old friend, Amos W. Moore, whom we have quoted before, but it calls for help for another isolated reader. Please do what God leads you to do for him.)

Dear Pastor Boyd:

As always "The Researcher" is really good and the Summer issue is extra good. The first two articles, pages 1-6, help us very much to understand the current trend in the political arena which in reality are religious (Christian)! problems with total Christendom, or perhaps we can say "within the visible church."

Enclosed is a $10.00 cheque. Please send me a quantity of the Summer 1983 issue of "The Researcher."

I was interested in the information about the young Pastor in India because it somewhat relates to the information I have received from a Pastor in the Philippines, who stands all alone there as it concerns Amillennial truth. Perhaps readers would like to write to him as follows:

Pastor Mariano B. Yague

170 Rizal Street, Aparri, Cagayan 1118

Philippines

He writes the following portion from one of his letters:

"The premil preachers call me a confirmed amillennialist and that's true, but also call Amillennialist teachings heretical, which is false. Now, I'm standing alone, serving God in a big town, a sea-port in the Northernmost part of the Philippines. We have a little group of believers here and we are having our worship services in our home. Before, I fed them with premil teachings but now most of them have fully grasped the truth.

From Pastor S. Raman, South India

Honoured Brother:

Grace be to you and peace from God the Father and from our Lord Jesus Christ.

I know well how busy you are in your blessed ministries. Sorry for consuming your precious time for my things.

I hope you might have received the specimen copies of Researcher of the second issue. Among your busy time, kindly make a note that the translated articles for the printing of the 3rd issue are ready now, and I have been expecting to hear from you for the financial assistance and envouragement. (The help was sent months ago and more will soon follow. Editor)

My continued prayers and best wishes for your good health and longevity. Sincerely yours, S. Raman

P.S. In the book entitled, "A New Heaven and A New Earth," by Mr. Archibald Hughes he mentioned that, "W.E. Biederwolf accomplished a herculean task when, in 1924, he completed "The Millennium Bible." This work contains the opinions of some four hundred commentators upon the subject of Prophecy. One has only to read this Bible to realise the great differences of opinions existing among students of Prophecy." This book is not available in India. If possible, please supply a copy of it for my personal use. I think it will be more helpful to me in the prophetic ministry.

(We wish someone of our readers could supply this book. We have never seen it. The Editor).

Another From Alberta

(This shows how we and friends who share our convictions and concerns, may get into greater trouble.)

August 20, 1983 Rev. J.R. Boyd Box 232 Sudbury, Ontario

Dear Brother Boyd:

Thanks for your letter of July 7, 1983 in answer to my request for a few samples of the Researcher.

At that time you said you were sending me some of the earlier ones with information about subscription and other matters.

As yet I have not received these so am wondering if they have been intercepted by news media (Zionists, Organized Jewry). Seeing I have been receiving Christian literature such as Christian Inquirer, Encounter, Renaissance and On Target — the latter causing the police (God bless the police) to come to my home at the request of the Zionist Jews to see if they could lay criminal charges against me for handing out articles such as "Are You Antisemetic?" etc. I am a widow, with no children, 83 years old and love the Truth. I desire to know my Lord better, for to know Him is to love Him and to love Him is to trust Him, and to trust Him is to thank Him and praise and worship Him.

Enclosing $10.00 toward the Researcher to keep it coming.

Yours in Him with prayer Louise Huseby
