November 2003 Monthly Meeting Minutes
Well as the minute taker, I arrived late for the November meeting as I was baking up the Butter Braids for all to sample. So what minutes I did capture is limited, and I hope you bear that in mind when reading what I did discover, and most of these minutes were not taken from the officers meeting, but rather that of the General meeting.

.) R.E.A.P. barrels will be put out on campus starting in December so please bring your contribution for this project, and see Kim Jarquio for exactly what this falls under in the 5 Star Status Program, and if you participate contact Kelly Lane so that she can mark that participation in your record so that you recieve recognition at the next induction. These barrels I believe are to be in the campus center on the second floor, and down in the cafeteria. If you don't see them seek someone, like Margaret Berter in the Access office and ask where they might be. You can also bring these non parishable items to the December meeting if you wish.

.) On November 10-12th we will be having a Jain Jewelry Sale at the Campus Center from 8am-2pm and all that buy are participating in a fundraising event, and if you did please again see Kelly Lane so that she can mark your records.

.) There was discussion will everyone about the Christmas party festival being held by Student Government on December 6th, 2003 between 11am-1:30pm, and they are asking us for voluteers to help with the setting up, playing games with the kids, and cleaning up. If there are voluteers, please sign the sign up sheet, that was done, and I beleive that Jean has the list for this event. This is a service project and again please see Kelly if  you participate in this event.

.) The next discussion was regarding the KCPT telethon which will be held on December 7th, 2003 after the December general meeting at 6pm. Voluteers were asked for, and another sign up sheet done and held by Kim.

.) It was brought to the attention of the members that on November 13th & 14th everyone was encouraged to wear their t-shirts to help promote Phi Theta Kappa.

.) Butter Braids was discussed, and it was voted on, approved as a fundraiser, voluteers accepted another sign up sheet, order forms, and the orders were to be turned into Lois, Jean, or Margaret by December 1st, along with the checks for said orders. Orders will be delivered by December 18th, and I've been told that Jean will be having them for everyone to pick up at the Library on the 18th of December at 3pm. Jean has the list of those accepting to help in the project, and this is considered a fundraiser, see Kelly for your participation in it.

.) All were informed that a new postion was now open for V.P. of Funraising, and what the job consisted of. Amy Stewart was nominated, she accepted, a vote was taken, and she won that election.

.)  Our scholarship was discussed again to see where things stood.

.) Honars Seminar was discussed and will occur on November 14-16.

.) Satellite Seminar viewing will be November 19, 2003 at 6pm at Penn Valley in the theater inside the Math and Science building. A sign up sheet was discussed.

.) New T-shirt designs for our club was discussed, and a design contest was decided upon for the December meeting, and Kim is checking in with her contacts on the costs involved.

.) Margaret gave the Treaurer report for the club.

.) College Project Form must be submitted very soon; it was discussed that Margaret or Diane would contact the International to verify if Project Graduation and Adopt-A-Road count; as we need to know by the next meeting.
