This fundraiser is to replinish some of the funds for our club, and the rest will be designated at our next meeting. This is counted as a fundraising event for those interested in the enhanced membership. For further information please contact Margaret Berter at 816-672-2254.

Butter Braid Sale:
The Butter Braid's are our first time use in the fundraising department and we are really excited about the opportunity to have this product to sell. We are looking for volunteers to help sell this really great product for the upcoming holidays. As a volunteer this will be seen as a fundraiser, and for further information you can contact Kelly Lane VP of Correspondence to see if covers another area at 816-537-8356, Jean Kruse our VP of Leadership at 816-318-1851 or Lois Robbins (myself) VP of Public Relations at 816-361-2153 or check our e-mail's if you wish on the contact page.
Here is the information about the product:  They sell for $9.00 each, and our share of the sale is $4.25, which will be going for the most part for the funding of our own chapters scholarships!! Payments are collected at the time of the order, the payment method is cash or checks made payable to Phi Theta Kappa, there are order forms that are clear and easy to read, they are delivered frozen to us, and we deliver them to our customer frozen so that they have the choice of when to serve the Butter Braids for the holidays. We will keep to the suggestion by the dealer to use this event for no more than 3 weeks in our campaign.
On each sheet there will be the name of the the individual flavors which are: plain/original, cheery, apple, peach, cinnamon, cream cheese, carmel roll, and blueberry. These  Butter Braids are just sooooooooooo....good!!!!! We will be looking for the volunteers, and we have lots of forms to use to begin the sales. We are looking at dates in November, as we have only two delivery dates left to us from the dealer. The first turn in date will be October 29th, for the November 20-21st delivery. As we were so busy with the induction, and other projects it was decided, that we will use the second date to turn in, which must be done by November 28th. This means that if we do 3 weeks to campaign for this, then we must start no later than November 10th, to get it done. The dealer will then deliver us the Butter Braids to give to our customers by December 18-20th. This way they will have it by Christmas.
On the day of distribution for our customers, we will need volunteers to do 3 main things:
Preparation: (1) Alphabetize the order forms (2) Put product on tables in the same order as the sales fliers (3) Have volunteers identify themselves as a "Reader," "Picker," or "Checker." Reader: A person who escorts the sales person through the assembly line and tells the "Picker" what product to get for the sales person. Picker: A person who takes the product from the assembly line tables & gives it to the sales person. Checker:  A person who verifies the total number of units that the sales person has been given. Distribution: (1) H ave reader pickup an order form (2) Have 1 "reader" & "picker" take the order form through the assembly line (3) Checker verifies the total number of units given to the sales person and clothes the boxes and (4) "Reader" and "Picker" return to the beginning of the assembly line to fill the next order form. As you can see with the right number of volunteers to help out it will go rather quickly and easily.
