We are looking for volunteers to help sell this really great product for the upcoming Easter holiday. As a volunteer this will be seen as a fundraiser, and for further information you can contact Kelly Lane VP of Correspondence to see where you stand in this area at 816-537-8356. Jean Kruse our VP of Leadership and Amy Stewart our VP of Fundraising are heading the committee, so ask them for more information. Here is the information about the product: they sell for $9.00 each, and our share of the sale is $4.25, which will be going for the most part for the funding of our scholarships and our coffers. Payments are collected at the time of the order, the payment method is cash or checks made payable to Phi Theta Kappa, there are order forms that are clear and easy to read, they are delivered frozen to us, and we deliver them to our customer frozen so that they have the choice of when to serve the Butter Braids for the holiday. We will keep to the suggestion by the dealer to use this event for no more than two weeks in our campaign. On each sheet there will be the name of the individual flavors which are: plain/original, cherry, apple, peach, cinnamon, cream cheese, caramel roll, and blueberry. These Butter Braids are just soooooooo...good!!!! We will be looking for the volunteers and we have lots of forms to use to begin the sales after the February 29th meeting, which is following the Spring Induction ceremony. The dates for the drive will be March, 2004 so that Amy Stewart can call in our order for delivery by Easter. For more information see the link to fundraising. Publisher: This is to let everyone in the organiztion know that despite the ups and downs we sometimes face in life, our education, our jobs, and even here in this fine organizatin, that it has been my pleasure serving as your VP of Public Relations for the 2003-2004 term. It is my hope that whoever might take this office in the next term will meet it with zest, and enjoy the challenge and fun that comes with this position. My most important pieces of advice would be as follows: (1) Enjoy yourself and don't sress over it. (2) Allow yourself to be human and to accept the mistakes that will come your way, but the grace to correct them. (3) To always when faced with the unknown to ask for help from your fellow board members and advisors. Lois Robbins VP of Public Relations |
