Southern California Beach Home

One Hour North of Los Angeles

Beautiful, newly remodeled home, 1/2 block from harbor, three-minute walk to a wonderful wide sandy Pacific Ocean beach. Approximately half way between Santa Monica and Santa Barbara. Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, central coast wine country, Hollywood, Universal Studios and Disneyland are all 40 min-2 hrs drive.

Spacious open bright, bathed in light and cheerful floor plan. Sleeps four to five comfortably, 2 bedroom, 2.5 baths, living room, family room, (1 king size and 1 queen size beds, one full size futon bed and 4 comfortable blow-up beds and plenty of bedding) . Laundry facility in the garage and driveway parking. Multiple decks some with ocean views. Great for sunning , barbecuing, reading or napping. 2,000 sq ft (200 sq. m)

Sailboats, electric boats and kayaks are available for rent nearby in the harbor. Deep sea fishing, whale watching cruises and cruises to the Channel Islands National Parks wilderness areas (http://www.nps.gov/chis/index.htm) are also available. (We have two mountain bikes, a kayak, surf board, bogie boards, beach chairs, and fishing equipment you are welcome to use). There are many shopping areas nearby, including a premium outlet center 20 minutes away. A train station with Amtrak and commuter train service to Los Angeles service is located 15 minutes away by car, but a car is really a must to enjoy travel in Southern California. We can arrange to include a car in the excahnge. We have a well maintained 1998 Honda Accord.

Front Deck- Private and enclosed with view of the harbor. See sail boats cruise by, watch the sunset. and have a nice dinner or first cup of coffee or tea in the morning.

Second Floor (European First Floor): Large open living room-dining room combination with hardwood floors, corner fireplace and slate hearth, large screen plasma HDTV, spacious kitchen with gorgeous granite counters and huge pantry. Large powder room adjacent to Dining room. Master Bedroom with sitting area luxurious master bath with shower and Jacuzzi tub.. LCD TV in this room as well. Can easily accomodate 1 or 2 blow-up beds.

Third floor (European Second Floor): Bright sunny family room with fireplace and office space. Front and back decks. Computer with broadband WiFi internet connection. Large bedroom with access to sunning deck and full bath. Art studio.

About us: We are very recently retired NASA Electrical Engineer and Chemist and love people, traveling and art. We have had well over twenty successful exchanges in Europe, NZ, Austraila, Canada and the USA.

We are flexible about timing and places, so just make us an offer. We' will be happy to consider a hosted exchange, but prefer simultaneous exchanges.
