| In the event that Howard County Schools are off, delayed, or released early due to inclement weather, the following actions take place: First, we confirm that the rink is open and that the opposing team plans to attend. If either of those two is false, the game is cancelled (and that fact will be posted in the first information box on our home page). If the rink is open and our opponent will be attending, then the following team policy is invoked: No player is "required" to attend. That is, player participation is entirely voluntary! If a player does attend that game, they will only be permitted to play if they either, a) attend the game with their parent, or, b) they present the coaches with a signed note from their parents indicating that their parent's are allowing them to attend and play in that game. NO NOTE = NO ICE TIME!! Any absenses are considered excused absenses. There is no need for any player to bring a signed note to the coaches at the next team function explaining their absense. As with cancelled games, an update regarding that game's status will be posted in the first information box on our home page. That area should be checked frequently that day as schedules on bad-weather days are usually fluid. |
