| Head Coach John Poisal |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Coach Poisal enters his fourth season behind the Lightning bench. He has acted as the team's only head coach in its brief history. John spent 10 years coaching at Mount Saint Joseph, in Baltimore. During that span, his teams appeared in 5 MSHL Championship games, winning three Junior Varsity titles (1999, 2000, 2001) and one Tier II Varsity title (2002). Prior to becoming a high school hockey coach, John attended Towson State University where he started for four years as the Tigers top goaltender. He graduated cum laude in 1992. He also has an MBA from the University of Baltimore (2002). Coach Poisal currently resides in Elkridge with his wife, Kathy, and their two children, Anthony (6 y/o) and Marisa (3 y/o). |

| Assistant Head Coach Tom Farrell |

| Coach Tom Farrell is also beginning his fourth season as the team's assistant head coach. He works primarily with the defense, coordinating and running the defensive pairings during games. Tom spent 4 years (2000-2003) working with Coach Poisal at Mount Saint Joseph, where he also had the lead responsibility of teaching the team's defensemen. Under Coach Farrell's guidance, the 2003-2004 Lightning posted a goals against average of 3.1 (5th best in the state!). His defense also led all MSHL teams in 2001, while at MSJ, in goals against (5) and was second in shots allowed (80). Tom served as an assistant coach at Towson State University from 1988 through 1993. He has over 25 years of experience coaching youth hockey. Coach Tom is retired and lives with his wife, Kay, in Annapolis.. |

| JV Head Coach Matt Currie |

| Originally from Port Huron Michigan, Coach Currie spent his playing days in Michegan and Canada playing AA and Junior B levels of hockey. Matt has been coaching at the Bantam AA and Junior B levels of hockey since 1995. Matt has recently moved to the Columbia area from Michegan and has been coaching with the Howeard Huskies. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Coach Danny Nash |

| Coach Nash grew up here in Howard County and has been playing hockey since the 2nd grade. He played hockey with the Huskies for 8 years before playing with the Tri-City Eagles and the Baltimore Jr. Bandits. Danny also played hockey for Mount St. Joe and won three state champoinships. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Coach Ray Byrne |

| Coach Byrne started playing hockey with the Howard Huskies. He played four years with them until he moved and then played for Chesapeake for 1 year where he won the CBHL title. He then went on to play for the Little Capitals for2 years. He then finished playing club hockey for the Bowie Bruins with whom he won the Southeastern District Championships. He then went on to play for Mt. St. Joseph for 4 years winning 2 state championships. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Coach Kalail Rizvi |

| Coach Rizvi got his start in hockey by playing for the Howard Huskies. Kahlil played with the Huskies for 9 years starting out inthe Mite B division and finished in the Midget AA division. He then played 4 years with Atholton High School and a semester at the University of St. Thomas NCAA III (St. Paul, Minnesota). Unfortunately he was injured and couldn't continue playing. During his years of playing, Kahlil was awarded the Timmy Nicolai Award (Huskies), an MSHL All-star and a four time Howard County all-star.
