SINCE 1980: I became a registered nurse and specialized in surgical nursing. My first tour in the operating room was at D.C. General Hospital, where I specialized in urology and neurosurgery (and trauma). I moved on to Georgetown University Hospital and specialized in ophthalmology. I also worked at the National institute of Health and did oncology surgery. I*m back at Georgetown as per diem.

I met my husband, Peter, and married in 1997.
