My Medical Internship

I was an Octoberian when I graduated from Medicine. At that time, it was very hard to find a hospital which was still open to applicants for internship. But it was a good timing to get into one of the most prestigious government hospitals in the Philippines, the East Avenue Medical Center! Earlier, the hospital accepted a few graduates into their program; however, due to the extreme load and very little manpower to do the work, the Chief of Clinics decided to announce that it was accepting additional interns. And that news spread to us Octoberians like wild fire! So OFF we flocked to EAMC and we were accepted right away!

This was taken inside the interns' quarters. I was with my barkada, the same group when I was reviewing for the boards.

These were photos during my rotation in OB-Gyn, my favorite. I loved delivering babies, and giving assurance and encouragement to the would-be-mothers! I would have wanted to be an OB-Gyn but fate planned otherwise...

This was taken during the Interns' Christmas Party.
