Touya glanced up from his book with minute interest. Jin made the most intriguing noises when he stretched, something like a mix between a yowling cat and a monkey... The red haired Wind Master squirmed slightly, stretching his arms up above his head as far as they could go before dropping them back to his sides and releasing the rest of the air in his lungs with a sigh of immense satisfaction. Touya didnt waste the energy it would have required to shake his head, opting instead to return to his book without comment or gesture.

Jin flopped backwards in midair in a movement that would have made a loud WHUMP, had he been lying on a couch. But Jin rarely used couches; they were far too confining for him. Touya snorted softly a couch, confining! He shifted slightly, rearranging the careful dent he had made in the cushion with his shoulder, and dropped softly glowing blue eyes back to his book.

After a few minutes, he looked up again. Jin had manoeuvred himself in mid air so that he was lying on his back, dangling his head down below his shoulders to observe the Ice Master. Touya raised an eyebrow and set down his book resignedly. He wasnt usually so easily distracted, so plainly he was not in the mood for reading tonight. And apart from that, Jin obviously wanted something. It was generally a good idea to give Jin what he wanted before he became bored and inherently destructive.

Touyas lips twitched involuntarily at a memory involving soap and Jins honestly distraught face peering out from amidst the suds.

What is it, Jin? He inquired softly. Jins lovable, snaggle-toothed grin materialised and managed somehow to take up the entire lower half of his face. Touya felt an answering smile tug at his own lips, but restrained it with a mental grimace. No need to go overboard.

Nothin. Just watchin ye.

Touya blinked at this. I see. Watching was a prelude to playing pranks, asking juvenile questions or demanding to be fed or entertained, in his experience. Jin hung for several moments as Touya watched him carefully. Jin, of course, broke first.

Whatre ye readin?

Touya held the book upside down so that Jin could decipher the words. Jin squinted. s bloody human talk yknow I dont read that well, Touya! He complained. Touyas eyes narrowed into something that passed as a smile in Touya-ese.

Its called Treasure Island. Its about human pirates and sailing ships.

Jins eyes widened and then crinkled gleefully. Can I sit with you?

Touya was about to tell the other demon, no, I dont feel like reading any more. But the innocent glee in those eyes at the thought of being read to stirred something in him. Touya sighed and shifted back slightly on the couch, making room for the other demon. Jin took up the remaining space almost before the Ice Master could blink, settled comfortably with his head beneath Touyas chin. His feet stuck out over the edge of the couch Jin was much taller than Touya was but he didnt seem to mind.

Touya turned patiently back to the beginning of the book and began to read in gentle tones. He could just see the Wind Master making this a regular occurrence. After a while, he dropped his head to rest his cheek on top of Jins head, avoiding the horn with calm awareness. He supposed it was a little enough concession to keep Jin happy.
