Because most of the time, I just forget to add fics to my favourites list at FFNet. And the rest of the time, I'm lazy.
COWBOY BEBOP
-- A Sentimental Journey by Agent Orange. What you get when Jet makes a feeble grasp at normalcy, and Ed discovers Christmas.
-- The Cowboy's Unofficial Guide to the Open Road by Agent Orange. Faye receives a summons to Earth from unknown sources and manages to convince Spike to get her there. Somehow.
-- Freaks Flock Together by Agent Orange. The Bebop Gang go undercover to catch their latest bounty by pretending to be a family.
-- Hallelujah in Blue by Scylla the Healer. Set a little during and a lot just after Jupiter Jazz. Feel the music; jazz will be the saving of us all. Grencia didn't die, and neither did Vicious' soul.
FINAL FANTASY VII
-- Sink To The Bottom With You by Flamika. An epic of gargantuan proportions. AVALANCHE fights to save the Planet from a threat no one could have suspected existed, and maybe Vincent and Yuffie eventually get over themselves and KISS, DAMMIT, KISS! *cough* Yuffentine and incomplete, in case you'd not guessed.
-- Sunshine In Winter by Guardian. What simply must be termed The Yuffentine. Yuffie gets into trouble and her whole life changes when she is maimed. Expecting death in a matter of months, the only person she has left to rely on is Vincent Valentine.
-- tendencies by Audrey. A beautiful, terrifying piece set years after the end of it all. But the horror they faced is about to come back with an innocent face...
-- Crazy by GlassShard. Hojo. The diary entry of a man who suspects, quite logically, that he is mad.
-- Tumbling Down by Lirillith. The Turks as they wait for Meteor to fall. Great characterisation.
FINAL FANTASY VIII
-- Futureloop by xblackstatic. When the dust of war settles and the realisation that maybe you were on the wrong side after all sets in, who else do you turn to but your worst enemy to pull you out of yourself? SxS. Incomplete.
FRUITS BASKET
-- Drive You Home by Po. Hatori pushes Ayame a little too far. Aya+Hatori make-up sex.
-- Long Denied by Cousin D. FB/PoH crossover. "No one knows why the Souma family is cursed... no one except Shigure. What will Shigure do with his knowledge and why hasn't he ever told anyone?" A glance into the true history and importance of the Cat.
GOOD OMENS
-- A Bat Out of Hell by H. J. Bender. Aziraphale suffers a 'rat' infestation, and is eventually reduced to begging Crowley to get rid of them. (Mildly slashy overtones.)
-- A Good Old Book by Caitirin. A/C. Crowley picks up a rare book for Aziraphale. He was only just browsing, too. Honest. A/C.
-- Amour Et la Morte by believer2. Aziraphale was destined to Fall, but Crowley is not pleased with the results when he does. A/C, gone wrong. It's an interesting idea.
-- Deliverance by Ithilwen C. Malfoy. I can't remember prezac'ly what this is about, but I liked it enough to write down its fic ID and the name of the author. Presumably, this means it was A/C.
-- Falling Rain by ...someone. *sweatdrop* I'm terrible at this! A/C. Also ensconced on the Ark were an angel and a demon who was most certainly NOT scared of the rain of holy water.
-- The Revenge of the Houseplants by H. J. Bender. Hastur, searching for revenge against the demon that melted his partner in lurking crime, strikes a deal with Crowley's houseplants. The results? Read on. (Mildly slashy overtones.)
-- A Taste of Humanity by QueenStrata. A/C. Crowley is curious about this kissing thing Adam and Eve seem to enjoy so much, and decides to experiment with the Angel of the East Gate. Aziraphale isn't nearly so pleased. Sweet, and heart-wrenching. Also read its sequels: One Moment and Uncertain Paradise. The rest of QueenStrata's fics are good, too.
HARRY POTTER
-- A Decoding of the Heart by TextualSphinx. 'It's the prequel to the sequel of another writer's fic / Of a pairing (Snape n' Granger) that still makes some people sick...'
-- Deny Thy Father and Refuse Thy Name by Tenshi. Website. How far would you go to protect your family?
-- Letter from Exile One Merciful Morning by TextualSphinx. 'Oh how can I lure you to Read and Review? / The story is old but the treatment is new. / Theres angst laced with humour and tender enchantement, / Good grammar and lexicon serve as enhancement. / And how could you not want Snapes wholesale redemption, / Or thoughts about sex sufficient temptation?'
-- The Potion Master's Apprentice by R. J. Anderson. 'A young blind woman comes to Hogwarts on a secret mission, only to find herself allied with the one man she has been warned not to trust - Severus Snape.' Continued in Personal Risks and If We Survive. An excellent OC romance, shot through with intrigue and politics.
-- Slytherin Rising by J. L. Matthews. The long, complex and incomplete tale of Severus Snape and Slytherin House, with some great female leads. Slightly AU, but only because she wrote it before half the books were out. Eight books planned, three complete, the fourth in progress. Definitely worth a read.
NARUTO
-- A Girl Thing by firefly. On assignment with the rest of Team 7, Sakura is suffering from lack of female company, her slobs of team mates and Girl Problems. Kakashi is determined to return unity to his team, so he offers to help out however he can.
PET SHOP OF HORRORS
-- Duh by Raison D'etat. Website. Who do D and Leon think they're kidding? Really. I also highly recommend Unwilling Sleep, which is linked directly from Raison D'etat's website. (PSoH really should have ended that way...)
YU YU HAKUSHO
-- The Best Defense by Jo-chan. HP/YYH crossover. Post-GoF. The Reikai Tantei are sent to Hogwarts to protect the students surrounding the Boy Who Lived from supernatural schemes. This fic has some of the best characterisation ever written and includes some fantastic lines.
-- A Far Country by Amanjaku. (I have no idea where this is originally hosted.) Kurama tricks Hiei into returning to Makai and facing up to his past, and lands them both in a lot of hot water in the process. Features Hiei being called "Grasshopper". Funny and incredibly touching.
-- The Hypocrite Hunters by Rose and Tora. The Yu Yu Hakusho crew discuss a number of utterly ridiculous prejudices that exist in the real world. Sad, innit?
-- In Debt by Arigatomina. KxH. The cutest thing you've ever read, only moreso. Kurama's the victim of yet another Zense no Mi plot, only this time he's regressed to being a baby youko... and attached himself to Hiei.
-- KOMORI by Chrislea. Karasu is alive and plotting some nefarious, uh, plot. Now three of the Reikai Tantei - and Karasu - have been turned into chibis and only Kurama can... babysit them?! Funniest. Fic. Ever.
-- Tight Rope by Flamika. YYH/AB crossover. Larry/Zane, Kurama/Hiei. I loved this fic before I'd even read the Vampire Hunter series, and now that I've read it... I still love the fic. =) Which says a lot, really.
