"Play and Tea House"
New and Recycled Wood, Pibrac, France 2006-2007
This work is in progress, it still need to finish all of the accordion window shutters and paint scheme. Built for my daughters and largely inspired
by Crystal Cove State Beach, California, it serves as both a play house and as a tea/coffee house. It consists of a main building, measuring
1.6m x 1.6m x 1.95m in the inside, three configurable terraces, a windchime tuned to A minor, a sea gull (not built by me), the slide shown on the bottom left,
and a sign that reads: "Welcome to Crystal Cove State Beach, Orange County, California". My brother Juan liked the design and had proposed
that one of these be built at the organic farm of Pomona College in Claremont, California, to serve as an organic outhouse.
