LRBC GRAB POINT AFTER REFEREE NO-SHOW
Despite the absence of stand-in referee for the first half and a whole host of first team players LRBC could still have won this game against a side they have lost to every time they have met in the last five years, an indication of the progress LRBC have made this season.
The make-shift defensive partnership of Elliot Johnson and Duncan Brownnutt were largely untroubled throughout the game and it was only Anthony Thorpe's mis-hit first half clearance that allowed Chapel A a sight of goal, with a wind-assisted shot sailing back over the head of the stranded LRBC 'keeper and into the net.
LRBC equalised through a well-worked team move involving Luke Walsh, Joe Wilson and striker James Burgess who found the net on his return to the side after a two and a half year absence. LRBC could and perhaps should have gone on to win the game but could not force a winner.
