When your child is going to be absent, please call the school office (561-3868, ext. 146) � preferably before 9:00 a.m. - to report his/her absence (you may also send a note with a sibling if you are unable to call us). If you know ahead of time; i.e. vacation, doctor�s appointment, etc., please send a note to the teacher. The teacher will forward this note to the office. If you have not contacted the office, we will attempt to contact you at home and/or work to verify that your child is indeed absent. If we are unable to contact you, we may send our Attendance Officer to your home. Please understand that this is not done to harass you; it is done to be sure that your child has arrived at your intended destination. Therefore, it is very important that you keep your phone numbers updated with the office. When your child returns to school, please send a note to the teacher/office regarding the absence. Students absent 5 consecutive days or more will be required to have a doctor's note to return to school. Thank you for your cooperation. |
