Okay, whenever you read of the camera or scenes in jagged, jerky or frenzied movements, think of old, early 1900�s kinda silent movies
opening scene - fade from black slowly- rain falling played backwards in slow motion. black and whitish with slightly golden/yellowish hue (see vid for Staind -Fade).( can only see certain colors that seem like the film is tinted after being filmed.- low colors) Camera pans back and you realise that you're looking out an oddly shaped window.
[00:00] camera turns away from the window to the inside. it's dark except for the middle where there is a low light shining on the floor.
[00:02] as the camera zooms in in jagged, frenzied movements (see scene of blue guy in papercut) towards a man lying face down on the floor in the middle of a jagged spiral design, shirtless with tattoo of angel wing on his back, black cargo pants and blue adidas shoes.
[00:04/05] as the steady beat of the sampling starts, the camera circles around the man
[00:06/07] man's eyes open at the down beat
[00:09] he pushes himself up at the first beat of guitar riff and looks around, confused, dazed and scared. He finds himself in the middle of a room that is oddly shaped like expressionist paintings. as he looks around, the camera hovers above him circling him in the opposite direction.
[00:13] small screen above him comes on; (staticy image) close up of brad's face in lightly tinted colors. brad peers at screen with one eye as if looking through a peephole (focusses on his eye). the man looks up abruptly at the screen. (the screens are hanging from the ceiling with dark wires and pipes holding it like the screens in the Matrix)
[00:15] high pitched sampling mix - joe's face appears on another screen with same staticy image. the man turns to the direction of the new screen.
[00:16/17] joe jumps up and down to the drum riff.
[00:17/18] loud drum and guitar/ bass riff. chester's face appears in another screen, mouth open in silent scream as the man turns to look with fear in his eyes.
[00:20] the man turns to the next screen just as Mike's face appears on it. Mike touches forehead to the screen, eyes looking upwards directly at the camera (viewer).
[00:22] the next screen comes on and phoenix is shaking his head in a frenzied motion (papercut) baring teeth in a scary grin.
[00:24] last screen comes on with rob just staring back at him and places his hand on the screen
[00:26/27] the man looks up at the screens, still turning around frantically as the LP guys look down at him from the screens, smirking as attendants in white suits appear from the darkness and grabs the man, sitting him down and strapping him onto an odd shaped chair; high backed. he looks around helplessly as he is alone again in the dark room, the light only shining over him.
[00:30] A big projection screen lights up infront of him, the image on the screen flickers like that of old black and white movies. (*all images on screen are in random speed. sometimes fast , sometimes normal , sometimes slow )
[00:31] grafiti decorations under a sky of dust. camera zooms down a grafittied alleyway where two men are fighting. one is the man with the wing tattoo. but he is now wearing a hoodie that is tinted dark red. the other guy is in a light colored shirt and a black hoodie over it. there is a slight flash on the flickering screen.
[00:35] A constant wave of tension on top of broken trust. the man in black falls down, shocked look on both faces.
[00:40] The lessons that you taught me. The man in the red hoodie falls onto his knees over the body as he realises that he just killed the other guy. Camera zooms in in fast speed to his face I learnt were never true..
[00:44] Now i find myself in question. he looks down at his bloodstained hands and the looks up towards the sky cops arrive
[00:46] screen flickers as the scene is interrupted, the film jumping slightly and we see mike's face on the screen now, rapping they point the finger at me again looking like he does on One Step Closer.
[00:49] guilty by association. image on the screen returns to the scene as the man looks about at the people standing around him. Camera pans across the people
[00:51] film jumps again and mike's face appears on screen again, rapping. you point the finger at me again. .
[00:52] back at the scene again as camera zooms into the man's face.
[00:53] chorus. camera zooms out from the man's face. he looks up to find himself in a Daliesque desert. bright lighting with the effect of high contrast. The camera circles over him again as he stands up and moves through the desert. There are dead trees, stark white, almost blinding and white doors all around him in the desert. he opens doors to find the LP guys standing behind each door, looking at him evilly.
[1:08] door. he opens a door and we see a replica of him standing in front of him. both look up at the same time, him with a shocked look and the replica with an evil smirk.
[1:10] mind camera zooms in in fast jagged motion to the evil replica's eye.
[1:11] the guy opens his eyes to find himself back in a dark room, strapped down to a table with wires attached to his head and the attendants standing around him. The wires are connected to a small screen at the end of the table he is on, showing fuzz.
(again, the speed of image on screen varies)
[1:13] paperbags and angry voices under a sky of dust. The fuzz flicker and the image of the man and the dead guy when they were much younger (say about five years. you can tell by the different hair style and the younger look). The friend seems to be in trouble and is asking him for help.
[1:17] another wave of tension has more than filled me up. both of them starts arguing. Shoving each other. And he leaves his friend in anger.
[1:21] all my talk of taking action these words were never true scene switches to the man pondering whether to call the cops and tell on his friend or not. He is in a public phone booth, hand on the receiver, but eventually walks out in anger.
[1:25] now I find myself in question. friend and his family looks on accusingly at the man as his friend is taken away by the police. The man looks at them sadly as if to say that he didn�t make the call, but no one believes him and the image flickers with static.
[1:28] Mike�s face appears on screen again, rapping. Then flickers back to the scene.
[1:30] guilty by association. Camera zooms in to a close up of the man, man shakes his head and looks down.
[1:32] screen flickers and mike comes on to rap.
[1:34] chorus: the man (camera) looks up and finds himself in a forest. See forest in blair witch project. Slightly foggish, with tall thin spruce and sycamore trees and the occasional oak. Lots of light brush. he looks around him, afraid and turns suddenly to the direction where he hears something in the brush. A raven lands on a tree near him, staring at him and he starts to run. He sees the LP guys darting about the forest; flashes of movements around him. He trips on a root, falling, and rolls.
[1:52] mind looks up to find himself in a dark cell.
[1:52] Lighting flashes outside the building and brightens the area according to the music (drum beat). Man looks around the room with a crazed look on his face. Something like that on jack nicholson�s in the shining.
[1:56] I�m gonna runaway� man runs towards the wall where there is a high jagged window and walks, draggin self along the padded walls.
[2:00] bye! bangs both fists on the door on the beat 1st drum beat (gonna runaway, gonna runaway) and looks out of the barred/ wired meshed window to see attendants reaching to open the door. They take him out of the room and leads him down the dark hallway. All this time, the camera focuses on them, circling around them in jerky/ jagged movements.
[2:05] I�m gonna runaway� the man looks up slowly, looking as if he�s demon possessed or has some evil plan in his mind.
[2:09] why! man breaks free from attendants at the first drum beat and runs away 2nd drum beat (gonna runaway, gonna runaway). The attendants gives chase. He turns the corner in the dark hallway and sees a mirrored image of him running towards himself .
[2:14] I�m gonna runaway He realizes too late that there�s a mirror in front of him
[2:18] mind! and runs right into it. Mirror crashes in slow mo and scene freeze frames at that moment. Camera moves over to the other side of the frozen man. Kinda like bon jovi�s it�s my life vid when the boy jumps off the bridge in front of the truck. Scene flickers slightly.
[2:19] 3rd drum beat (gonna runaway gonna runaway) camera unfreezes and the man falls to the ground, rolling. He finds himself in a meadow when he looks up, and continues running, turning around occasionally to find the attendants and Dobermans running after him.
[2:23] when chester screams D�eyes!� he nears a cave opening
[2:25] eyes! he runs into cave falls to his knees and pants.
[2:27] chorus sees jagged clawlike shadows moving in on him and starts running through the cave tunnels. Camera pans to the back of the man as he turns to his back to look. We see, through the eyes of the man, darkness moving in on him in a fast and frenzied motion, the LP guys� faces flickering in it randomly. As the Darkness move in on him, the cave around it crumbles. The man runs through an opening and finds himself on a rocky area at the first D�mind�[2:45]
[2:53] 2nd mind screeches to a halt at the edge of the ledge, watches bits of sand and rock fall off the edge in to a dark raging ocean that looks more like a black vortex, turns to his back, realizes he�s got no choice but to jump.
[2:58] 3rd mind the man jumps off the ledge. His wing tattoos spread out into black raven wings and bursts. And the camera (man�s POV) shows the receding scene of a dark shapeless shadow come to a halt at the ledge, its tentacle like D�arms� stretching forward over the ledge and then pulling back and just stays there like a mass of black slime. The man closes his eyes (camera blinks)
[3:02] *in normal color* last mind close up of the man�s face, drenched in sweat as his eyes flashes open.
[3:03] camera pans backwards in slow jagged movements and we see the man slouching in a couch in his black pants and blue adidas shoes, sitting up slowly as he realizes that it�s a dream. The television in front of him buzzes with D�tv snow�. Fade to black. [3:10]
