Thanx to Jenna i'm only 13 so i really can't relate to their songs in that high of a
degree, but they've opened lots of doors for my taste in music. their
"hybrid theory" is a great idea and it proves to close-minded people
that
the results of evolution and experimentation are beautiful.
this is really stupid, but i just have to say this.
i'm trying to figure out how chester does the whole screamin' thing,
but
with a melody, i mean how do you scream and sing at the same time? it's
sooooo awesome. so there, he inspired me to practice that. if i get
some
kind of a throat disease, don't worry, i won't blame that guy. hahaha
^_^
i just appreciate what they doing for other people and how they're
inspiring so many others out there.

Their songs...especially "In The End", to me means that after a relationship, if you tried your hardest and it doesn't work out then just move on. And, it inspired me in alot of ways. "One Step Closer", I use school-relatedly. It sort of reminds me of myself..because I am always getting made fun of and talked about by people, and it hurts, and there is sooo many things I want to say to them, but can't. Afraid of getting cussed, or fought with. All I want to say to those people are...I have had a rough life, some things have come good out of it, and making fun of me is not helping. And, as the lyrics go "EVERYTHING THAT YOU SAY TO ME, TAKES ME ONE STEP CLOSER TO THE EDGE, AND I'M ABOUT TO BREAK". Not violently, but have a mental breakdown, and yell or say something inappropriate to them. "Crawling" Mike's rap part "Without a sense of confidence, I'm convinced that theres just too much pressure to take". Also describes me, I do lack alot of confidence and esteem...and it all revolves around peer pressure. The lyrics do help me get through the hard times, especially when the September 11, 2001 Terrorist attack occurred..all I could listen to was Linkin Park.
Thanx to Kit E Cat I was already into Rock and Hip-hop and really getting into some of the Nu-Metal stuff when I first heard LP. The moment I heard OSC I thought "gee these guys are gonna be good!". Because of the collaboration of the different types of music,riffs,chords and vocals used in their music they really inspire me and I'm sure many others and make us realise that their music sounds really original and they're really pioneering the nu-metal hip hop rock death metal whatever you want to call it boundries!!
