| The Freshman Trip to Vertical Endeavors, December 2002 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| These climbing walls are simply the best indoor walls in this state. And all of the routes are very well marked. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| My brother and I visited Vertical Endeavors just outside of Chicago. This is an image of me traversing the cracks. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The walls vary in size from 35 ft to about 60 ft. The routes range in difficulty from 5.4 - 5.12. If you ever get tired of climbing the set routes you can try using the natural features to scale the walls. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Adjacent to the kids wall is this immense tree carved into the rock. With very little to grab on to, it is dubbed the Tree-o-doom! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Where's Raju? For sport/ lead climbers with skills there is a massive arch that spans the width of this climbing arena. It is definitely something for me to look forward to. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
