Bea Jay McDaniel Komahcheet

Her rich heritage comes from a strong traditional family that has long been involved in the Native American culture and in the Lawton community.
   Bea Jay loves to compete in the "Jingle Dance" contest category and is a champion dancer.  She has placed first in many areas of Oklahoma and other states as well.  One of her best talents is designing her own traditional regalia and is an accomplished bead worker.
   Completing a year as the first Miss Indian Lawton kept Bea Jay busy with parades and performances.
  Other titles that Miss McDaniel-Komahcheet held: Miss Dallas/Ft. Worth Inter Tribal princess, 1998, 1999, and 2000.  She also competed in the Jr. Miss Indian Oklahoma City Pageant and won 1st Runner Up.
Bea Jay McDaniel-Komahcheet, 22 years old,  was selected as Miss Indian Lawton 2003 and served as an Ambassador of Goodwill.  Her year was spent assisting in educating the community of the rich Native American heritage in Southwest Oklahoma and served as a positive role model for young Native American girls.
   Bea jay is a freshman at Cameron University, majoring in Sociology.  Her future goal was to work towards a masters degree in Counseling. 
   Bea Jay graduated from Indianhoma High School in 1999.  While in high school she was listed on the honor role.
