The primary goal of the Latino Peace Officer's Association is to increase the representation and enhance the image of Hispanics in the criminal justice system at the federal, state, county, and local, and:
- Assisting agencies of the criminal justice system in recruitment: retention and advancement of Hispanics.
- Undertaking programs to expose youth, in a positive fashion, to the criminal justice system, its various branches and career opportunities.
- Providing scholarships to qualifying students interested in pursuing a career in the criminal justice system and other related fields.
- Serving as a liason between the Hispanic community and the criminal justice agencies.
- Collaborate with other individuals, business and /or corporations toward the achievement of the objectives of this association. |
