Yellowstone Mammals
Yellowstone is noted for its wildlife. Here is a small sample of the mammals.
The funniest case was a male buffalo following a very small car like it was its mother.
Coyote are common. We had the pleasure of photographing a couple.
The Buffalo (or Bison) act like they own the place. They block the road often.
It is always a pleasure to see a beaver at work.
Another coyote.
Elk cows crossing the Firehole River.
At present, there appears to be an over population of elk. Perhaps the introduction of wolves will bring the population of elk to proper levels.
A Bull Elk is an impressive sight. Elk are more closely related to Walrus than to Deer.
