Earthquake Lake was created by a 1959 earthquake. The loss of life was heavy for a rural area. Gallitin National Forest near West Yellowstone Montana. |

This campsite was level before the earthquake. Now there is about a 20 foot lift between the place where the firepit and the tent site were located. This campground is no longer used. |
