Twenty two members of the Singapore Armed Forces medical team arrived in Dili yesterday, joining the 7000 strong International Force in East Timor (Interfet) to help bring peace to the troubled province. To be there for at least three months, they will provide medical help to the international forces and civilians there. Singapore's contribution to the Interfet includes two Republic of Singapore Navy Landing Ship Tanks -- the RSS Excellence and the RSS Intrepid -- and a military liaison team.
