Dishwalla's 1995 A&M debut album, PET YOUR FRIENDS, contains the single "Counting Blue Cars." The band's career began with an appearance on the IF I WERE A CARPENTER tribute to Karen and Richard. The five-member group toured in the summer of 2002 to promote their single "In the Middle" from their third album, OPALINE. |

The Turtles' Greatest Hits was compiled by Rhino label and released on vinyl by A&M of Canada. Howard Kaylon and Mark Volman performed outdoors in Corbin, KY in August 2002. Mr. Volman obtained the signatures of three other early bandmembers, after I loaned him one of my Turtles CDs. Thanks, Mark! John Barbata (drums) also played for Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young and Jefferson Starship. |

The signatures of early Steppenwolf alums John Kay, Goldie McJohn, and "Born to be Wild" composer Mars Bonfire (a rare appearance for him) were gathered at one of the annual Wolffests in Nashville. At right is the sleeve of a 1990 I.R.S. release by the band, signed at a Newport, TN biker festival where the band shared the stage with Australia's Little River Band. Below is the songsheet from LRB's Greatest Hits. |
