Mad Record Collectors and Englishmen - Page 2
Leon Russel signed A&M Bootleg LP
Thunder and lightning were approaching on May 2, 1997, when singer-songwriter Leon Russell opened for the Steve Miller band.  Playing a baby grand piano, he performed "Jumping Jack Flash," his composition "A Song for You," and the prophetic "A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall."  Fifty minutes into Miller's set the cloudburst hit, soaking everyone (including me).  Fortunately, my signed copy of the A&M BOOTLEG ALBUM made it home dry.
Cocker/Russell side of A&M Bootleg LP
THE A&M BOOTLEG ALBUM is a double-LP of B-sides by various A&M artists which were not released on albums.  The songs on side 1 are by Cocker or Russell.  Others on the album include: Captain Beefheart, T-Rex, Dillard and Clark, Lee Michaels, the Move, Procol Harum, Larry Marks, and the Flying Burrito Brothers.
Here's a promo copy of a Leon Russell single.  The other side is "Let It Be" by Claudia Lennear.  Both songs are from the film "Joe Cocker- Mad Dogs and Englishmen," but not on the LP.
