So I bet everyone wants to know what LP's songs mean right? Well, here, I have
taken some of the HT songs and made a little reference for you to see what the songs mean...
This is the real deal. Not something like what those other sites tell you the songs
mean. This is the stuff what LP were Reallllyyy thinking.
Papercut: This song is about weed and how it feels when you take it. You start to
not be able to answer simple questions such as Why does it feel like night today? (which
can easily be answered: It feels like night because it is foggy/a storm is coming!! So of
course it's going to be a little dark during the day...), and you start to feel paranoid
like the cops are out to get you because you have weed. You get a whirlwind inside of [my] head
and you cant stop what [Im] hearing within (aka--you're hearing voices). So basically,
this song is about weed and it's effects on your body--it's not about paranoia...
In The End: This song is about people like me who try really hard to do things but it never works
out. The perfect example would be me in English class last year. I was doing well at first,
until the teacher turned around and started grading me with Bs and B-s and never any A's. So I
would go meet with her and even that wouldn't help. It was like I tried so hard but I
got so far because I was still freaking failing (or well, not FAILING per say...). I
Pushed as far as I can go but pshh...that didn't make a difference. Thus, this song was written
for all those school teachers teachers screw you over (as usual), no matter how hard you try
or suck up.
Crawling: This song is about what happens when a parasitic worm burrows inside of your
skin. You start off by having a lack of self-control that you cannot control and
your walls are closing in (or so it will seem that way). You will glance at yourself
in the mirror and scream because you don't look the same now that the parasitic worm has injected
its DNA into your cells, thus producing more parasitic worms. Your body will begin to feel confused, and
eventually, in the end (hey! in the end...hahahahaa), your body will feel controlled.
Points of Authority: This song is dedicated to all the jocks in the world. Its about
how they like to see the "not so good" players make stupid mistakes, and then it's like they get
their envy appeased. And they like to share what [youve] been through by telling
the reporters all about it. At the same time, LP are tellin them that they better Forfeit the game
because sooner or later someone much cooler and better will take their spotlight and their fame will be over.
