The Idiots Guide to Becoming Linkin Park

The General Stuff

The very first step in becoming Linkin Park is to examine their ways. Catch every appearance of them on TV, on the radio, buy their DVD...You must do all these things to really get a feel of what it is like to become Linkin Park. Be sure to visit their messageboard daily, their chat daily...be sure to sign up at LPU and listen to their cds everyday, and search online for pictures of them. Sure, it may sound a bit over the top but what else do you expect! You're becoming Linkin Park here! You have to know Linkin Park better than they know themselves!

How to look like Linkin Park

Chester: To become Chester, the first step is to get a few things done. You must get a couple of tattoos and a lip piercing, and a pair of glasses with a black rim (for more information on the tattoos that you must get, please turn to page 58.90210). The next step is your hair. When becoming Chester, you have the advantage of going through a bunch of different hair styles, such as a mohawk, spiked, shaved, brown hair, blond hair, etc. And lastly, make sure that you're pretty well shaven without any really distinct facial hair (it can be faint, but don't make it where your "fans" can see it a mile away). Lastly, you may wear a few accessories like a spiked necklace or whatever if you like.

Brad: To become Brad, you can go for either the shaven head with the mustache and goatee look, or the afro with the goatee look (as long as it's that dark brown type of color). In addition, be sure that you paint your nails a pretty wacky, yet reasonable color and wear a few beaded bracelets. Also, pierce your ears.

Rob: To become Rob, basically just have your hair spiked a little and have a goatee (make sure it's a dark brown/black color).

Mr. Hahn: To become Mr. Hahn, spike your hair and make sure it's black. Once in a while you may shave your head, but really not that often. Also, you may have the option of wearing black rimmed glasses or contacts. Lastly, be sure that you're pretty well shaven...

Phoenix: To become Phoenix you may go for the reddish facial hair thing or the no facial hair thing. Whichever. If you do go for the facial hair, just make sure that it's a red type of color while your hair is a dark brown. Also, you can wear a few beaded bracelets also if you want to...

Mike: To become Mike you have a few options with your hair. It can be spiked, shaved, blond, black, red and black, blue and black...whatever. Just don't get too carried away and do something stupid like dying it rainbow or something. You are going to have to, for the most part, wear contacts, but on those random days when you wear glasses, make sure they are with a black rim. Be sure that you have a goatee, and in addition, you may have the option of wearing a few beaded bracelets as well...

How to act like Linkin Park

Chester: When acting like Chester there are a few things to remember. First of all, when doing preformances on stage, be sure to tell the audience about some of the weird stuff that has happened to you (like if you got bit in the ass by a spider), and be sure to thank them and everything. When doing interviews, don't be afraid to talk about your ass and how sexy it is, or talk about your package and don't be afraid to flirt a little with Mike. Don't think of it as acting like a pervert, think of it as being funny.

Brad: In acting like Brad, you get a cell phone! Lucky you! Carry this cell phone around 24/7 and if someone calls you, don't put them on hold. Answer it! Also, when talking in interviews, feel free to add in a few "advanced" words here and there, and say "like" a total of about 3 times per sentence.

Rob: When becoming Rob and doing group interviews, say a couple of sentences here and there but that's it. Leave most of the talking to Mr. Hahn, Brad, Mike, and Chester.

Mr. Hahn: When acting like Mr.Hahn, be a little sarcastic and talk about all that CGI stuff that no one really understands but you. Say a few "likes" but don't over do it. Remeber: You are not Brad or Mike.

Phoenix: In acting like Phoenix, say very little in group interviews (like Rob). But when the camera is on you, talk and smile.

Mike: When acting like Mike (ohhhh!! Like Mike! cute movie everyone...*ahem* anyways), be sure to play around with Chester's flirty type ways. Also be sure to laugh a lot in interviews and to smile a lot. Basically joke around but don't get too out of control. In addition, add in about 2 or so 'likes' per sentence. Oh. And be sure to go to the majority of radio interviews in L.A. and also be sure to post about once a month on the LP boards.
