Circle of Friends Toledo, formally known as; Knowledge is Power and Food For the Soul Club, had it's first kick off meeting October 26, 2001. Our get acquainted meeting was a Poetry Slam, and Dinner Buffet, which was capped off with a Champagne Toast. It was on this night, that our book club was born. At the January 2002 meeting, we had the pleasure of a visitor from Valdosta Georgia; who in turn invited us to become a Circle of Friends Chapter. In August 2002 we also had the pleasure of hosting the Atlanta Circle of Friends Club President; Shunda L. Blocker. That month, Toledo Ohio officially became the 9th chapter of Circle of Friends Book Club. This marks the beginning of our journey.
