| God loved you so much that He gave His precious Son Jesus, so that you, if you believe in Him, should not perish, that is be destroyed by His anger, but have eternal life. John 3:16 (LP_Psalms revised version) No matter who you are, no matter what you have done, God loves you, and wants to have a close, intimate relationship with you. That is why He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross. His blood washes away all the sin that keeps us away from God. When we repent of our sins and accept Him as our Savior we become through Him,God's beloved sons and daughters. Through His death we are made alive! More Good news! He rose from the dead and broke the chains that keep us tied to the grave . Through His resurrection we have Eternal Life!! Life forever! With God! |

| ONE QUIET NIGHT (The First Christmas Day) One quiet night the stars shone down, Upon a tiny sleeping town And a stable just behind a crowded inn. There inside the ox's stall, was born the Savior of us all, The One Who'd free our sould of Death and Sin. Not wrapped in robes of splendour But in swaddling bands He lay, Asleep in Mary's arms, On the first Christmas day. The angels sang His glory, As shepherds gathered 'round Wise men came to worship HIm And laid their treasures down. Gold and myrrh and frankincense Were the gifts the wise kings gave, As they knelt before Creation's Lord On the first Christmas Day. Many years have come and gone, Since first we heard the angels' song, And the shepherds left their flocks to seek God's King. Still the wise heart seeks the face Of the One who brings us Heaven's grace, And with joyful hearts God's praises we sing. Let us sing His Glory As the angels long ago. Leave behing our wordly care And to the manger go. Remembering God's precious gift Let us bow and humbly pray, Come let us adore Creation's Lord LIke the first Christmas Day. copy right (c) 1994 LInda Philbeck |
