     Disclaimer: You all know the deal but I'll say it anyway. I do not have 
     anything to do with Stingers, blah, blah (except watch it :) hehe, it's on 
     in less than 3 hours YAY!!!) just writing it for some fun 
     Authors notes: this continues on from the season final about 4 or 5 weeks 
     after Tran's death. Oh and I am not too good with spelling and grammer, so I 
     am sorry if there is anything wrong :) 
     If anyone can think of a title please let me know, and I will give credit to 
     you :) 

     Crimplex 
     "So how is everyone today" Danni asks as she does every morning "OK, where 
     is everyone?" she knew Oscar wasn't there because he was still recovering 
     from the incident "Pete, Ang?" Mac come out from her office, "Hey Danni, 
     got a minute?" she points Danni towards her office "yeah sure, where is 
     everyone?" 
     Pete is at the Hospital with Oscar, but I don't know where Angie is." 
     ____ 
     Angie's House 
     Ang is sitting on the edge of the bath, staring down at a positive pregnancy 
     test "NO, NO, NO, NO! Why?" she looks down at her watch "Shit, I'm late" and 
     she heads out into her room. 
     ____ 
     hospital 
     "so how many of these bally things can you blow up?" 
     "don't tell the girls, but only one and a half. They think I have it 
     mastered" 
     pete laughs "Righto, well I should get to work, I'll see ya later" as pete 
     exits Angie enters "hey Ang, shouldn't you be at work?" pete asks "god, I 
     forgot! Can you tell Mac I'll be there soon?" 
     yeah ok, I'll see ya there" and pete leaves. 
     Ang sits down on the chair beside the bed "hey you" 
     "how's it goin' Ang?" 
     Ang was reluctant at first but then said "yeah alright…you?" Oscar answered 
     but he knew something was wrong from the look in Ang's eyes "Ang, are you 
     sure, is there anything you want to talk about?" 
     "um no…yes…god I don't know!" 
     "what Ang?" Angie starts crying "I'm pregnant!!" 
     "ok" after what she had just told him, Oscar wasn't sure what to say "um, 
     are you sure?" 
     "yes! With twins, I've had two tests. I don't know what to do, if I have 
     them, they will have no father and I…" 
     "Ang who is the father?" 
     "I'd rather not say" she grabs a tissue from the side table and wipes her 
     eyes "that's fine. When are you going to tell Mac?" 
     ____ 
     Mac's Office 
     "I'd like you to do this case. It's an abortion case, it's just I am really 
     busy at the moment and Angie, well is just for some reason not all there." 
     "but I'm not pregnant!" 
     "see that's the thing. This Dr Jackson, she performs the operation on both 
     pregnant and non pregnant women" 
     Danni was a bit confused "huh? That doesn't make sense" 
     Mac looked at the clock on her desk, she was supposed to meet Bill soon 
     "look, just read the files and get back to me" Mac stands up and heads to 
     the door, "I have to go" they both head out. As Mac heads to her car Danni 
     spots Pete "Hey pete, how's Oscar?" 
     "yeah good, he's with Ang at the moment" Mac stops and turns around and 
     walks back "what is she doing, she should be here! What the hell is wrong 
     with her at the moment?" 
     "Geez Mac, take a chill pill, it is only 9:15, give her a break, she's just 
     visiting, she said she'll be here soon." 
     "That's not good enough, she has a job to do. Danni ring her mobile and get 
     her here, I've changed my mind, she can do that case!" 
     Pete and Danni both look at each and roll there eyes "yes Mac." 
     Mac re-enters her office, picks up the phone and dials bill's mobile number 
     "hi bill, I'm really sorry but I can't make it, I have too much to do…no I 
     can't tomorrow, how 'bout I ring you when I'm free…yep ok then, bye" 
     ____ 
     hospital 
     Angie's phone rings "shit, I didn't turn it off," she answers "Ang 
     speaking…oh my god, I forgot…sorry…is she mad?…ok I'll be there in twenty" 
     she hangs up. "I have to go" she stands up and heads for the door "hey Ang?" 
     she stops and turns around "What are you going to do?" 
     "I really don't know, I have to go. See you later" 
     ____ 
     pete and Danni are sitting down looking over some paperwork "hey Danni, 
     what's up Mac's butt?" 
     don't know. something to do with Angie, I'm guessing" 
     "hey speaking of the devil!" 
     "yeah hi, Mac in her office?" 
     "yep" Ang heads toward the office "hey Ang!" Angie stops and turns around 
     "Are you ok?" Danni had noticed she had been crying "why wouldn't I be?" 
     ____ 
     Mac's office 
     There is a knock at the door "Come in!" 
     "um Mac, I'm sorry, I went to the hospital and I lost track of time. It 
     won't happen again" 
     "yeah well I'm sorry too. You now have the abortion case!" 
     "the what case?" 
     "you heard me, it came in this morning" 
     "but…" 
     "No buts, you go in tomorrow, Danni has the files" 
     "Mac I…" 
     "What?" Mac was now getting frustrated 
     "uh nah don't worry… I'll deal with it" as she turns around tears start to 
     swell in her eyes. 
     To herself Mac says "god that girl is weird sometimes." 
     ____ 
     Angie has just read through the files, and can't believe what they contain, 
     she rings Oscar at the hospital. "hi, can I please be put through to Oscar 
     Stone?… patient…yep…thank-you…Oscar it's me…yeah…she's got me doing an 
     abortion case…do you think she knows? 
     ____ 
     how could she know, I think you're a bit paranoid. You would only have to 
     get on the table then pull the plug…no you don't want to do that…because if 
     you pull the plug after you won't be able to have children ever, Mac told me 
     about it…she said hopefully it will discipline you…she is really worried 
     about you, that's why she rang, to ask if you seemed alright to me…yeah she 
     rang just after you left." 
     ____ 
     "you didn't tell her did you?…good, please don't say a word to anyone, until 
     I figure this out…thank-you…yeah bye" 
     ____ 
     pete walks in from the kitchen, "hey anyone want a coffee?" 
     Danni answers "yes please" 
     "hey Ang, you?" 
     "huh, oh no thanks, I'm not in a coffee mood" 
     "what do you mean not in a coffee mood, you're a coffee addict, you're 
     supposed to be in a coffee mood all the time" pete replies 
     "yeah well I just don't want any! Now if you'll excuse me I have to get this 
     work done" and she walks off. 
     Danni and pete both look confused "hmm she's passing up coffee, something 
     is wrong here, go talk to her Danni." 
     "Why me?" 
     "you're a girl and besides I'm making the coffee." 
     Danni rolls her eyes "Fine" 
     ____ 
     "Ang?" 
     "what are you doing in here?" 
     "this is the only place I can concentrate." 
     "oh, ok, are you alright?" 
     "yeah fine, why?" 
     "we're all just worried that's all." 
     "it's just this case, I can't believe this doctor performs a so called 
     'Abortion' on these women to stop them producing even if they are not 
     pregnant…" 
     "god, I didn't read that far, how does she manage that?" 
     "well see here all these women go to this clinic. She performs pregnancy 
     tests and somehow makes them positive and because they don't want the child, 
     she talks them into abortion and the rest is straight forward really" 
     "really! At least you know she'll talk you into it then." 
     "yeah…oh my god! I just realised something" then Angie runs out and up to 
     Mac's office. 
     ____ 
     Mac's office 
     Angie opens the door "Mac I can't do this case" 
     "I told you no buts!" 
     "yeah I know, but wouldn't it make sense that someone who was not pregnant 
     do this case, then we'd actually have solid evidence" 
     "yeah it would, you're not pregnant! Now go." 
     "you see that's the thing Mac, I am" Mac doesn't believe her "OK Ang, stop 
     pretending. You aren't getting out of it!" Angie starts crying "Mac, I'm 
     pregnant!" Mac still doesn't believe "OK then, who's the father?" she asked 
     quizzically "Tran's the father…here" Angie throws an ultrasound picture down 
     on the table "this is what I was doing at the hospital this morning. Ring if 
     you don't believe!" 
     "Ang. Oh my, sorry I didn't know. Why didn't you tell me sooner?" 
     "I was scared and you were mad. I didn't know what to do, I don't know what 
     to do!" 
     ____ 
     Pete and Danni are sitting in the kitchen drinking coffee and playing cards. 
     "do you have a 4?" 
     "fish…so what do you think is going on in there?" 
     "don't know" 
     "do you have a queen?" 
     "Damn YoU" 
     Danni laughs "can't hear any yelling so it can't be anything bad." 
     "what did you get out of Angie?" 
     "nothing really, I think she is just worried about this case, but I think 
     something is definitely up! What about a…" Mac comes out of her office and 
     interrupts "Danni, can you come in here please?" 
     "yeah sure" Danni heads into Mac's office. 
     "Danni I'm sorry to do this to you but can you do this case for me?" 
     'the abortion case, that's Angie's!" 
     "not anymore. Something has come up for her." 
     Danni doesn't like this one bit "yeah like what?" 
     "nothing that concerns you. She'll tell you when she is ready." 
     ____
