Okay....I'll take up this challenge. 3 Bananas, a Tickle Me Elmo doll, a Beach Towel, a Chinese Food Place, and a Light Bulb....Let's see what we can do! AUTHOR: Ditzy D E-MAIL: ditzy_n_delusional@yahoo.com.au DISCLAIMER: Have nothing to do with Stingers at all. I swear, I only watch it religiously, and you can't sue me for that! NOTE: This is just crazy, and probably makes nooooo sense. But I'm in a mood, and it's all in the name of fun! ************* FOOD FIGHTS AND SHOCKING NAKED FUN Also Known As JUST ANOTHER DAY AT THE OFFICE ************ ONE VERY HOT MORNING... `Okay. Everyone LISTEN UP!' Mac shouted for the fourth time. It was hot. Very, very hot, and she along with everyone else, wanted to be anywhere except at this briefing. The others finally looked up, as ready as they would ever be to hear what their next case was. `Right. Now Gus here...' Mac said pointing to the photograph in the centre of the white board `...is apparently quite a major player in the drug world.' `Drugs again,' Pete whinged. `Why can't we get something interesting - you know something that isn't drugs...You know something....that isn't drugs!' he finished dramatically, throwing his hands in the air. Danni, Oscar and Angie all laughed as Mac stood at the head of the table looking rather un-amused. `Fine then, if that's the way you feel, you won't be involved. You're on surveillance. Now Gus....' Mac continued. `What surveillance! Mac you know I don't like surveillance.' Pete said standing. `I'm a do-er, an extrovert, a get-up-and-get-`em kinda guy. I have to be out...' `Peter Church! If you do not shut-up and sit down, this INSTANT, then you're not going to be able to `get- up-and-get' ANYTHING!' `Oh...is that a threat?' Pete retaliated. `Pete...' Mac warned. `Okay, okay...I'm down, I'm down.' Pete said sitting down dejectedly. `So Gus....' `OSCAR!!!' Angie giggled, as Oscar squirted her with a little water gun he had found. `ANGIE!!' Mac yelled `Will you pay attention! Now Gus...' `I'm hungry....' Danni cut in. `Right. Gus. Cocaine. Oscar you're in. The rest SURVALIENCE!' Mac yelled as she left the briefing room heatedly. The others looked after her, Pete breaking the silence. `You know, Chinese sounds good.' `Ohhhh...yeah' Danni answered. `Let's go,' Oscar said standing. `I'll get Mac...' Angie put in `Nooooo...' Pete cried. `She's rather pissed at the moment. I'll leave this note.' He said as he scribbled something down on a post-it note and sticking it to a computer.`There. Now she can't get even more pissed that we didn't inform her,' Pete said as he proudly looked at his handy-craft. The yellow post-it note hung at an angle over his computer. On it was written : CHINESE FOR LUNCH. YUM! BE BACK B4 THE STREET LITES ARE ON! Surrounding the writing were little stars and hearts. `Rather feminine Pete,' Angie laughed.` `Tis not. I'm just expressing my artistic talent.' `Yeah right mate,' Oscar said as he slapped him on the back. `Now let's get outta here.' *********** MEANWHILE.... `Hi. Bill, it's Mac...it is hot isn't it....I was thinking that we do something a little different tonight...Nup, I'm not telling....I'll pick you up at 10pm. Okay...you too...see ya.' Mac hung up and looked around her office. It's awfully quiet out there, she thought. She sat silent for a few minutes trying to hear what the guys were doing. After still hearing nothing she went to investigate. `Pete, Angie...' She called out leaving her office. `Oscar, Danni...' No one replied. She looked around before noticing Pete's `artistically placed' note. `That's it. He's confined to base until I say so.' Mac fumed as she threw the note in the bin. `When I get my hands on him....' ********* MEANWHILE...AGAIN... `Pete, hold your chopsticks properly,' Danni scolded, as he once again impaled his food. `But this is soooo much more fun. If I miss, the food goes flying all over Oscar,' Pete laughed as he missed and Oscar got hit by a piece of lemon chicken. `Look, we don't wanna get kicked out,' Oscar whispered looking rather unimpressed. `Stop playing by the rules. You gotta live a little...live...a...little,' Pete taunted as he waved his chopsticks around near Oscar's face. `Pete grow up,' Angie giggled. `I am grown up,' Pete replied. `I'm the oldest here.' `Then he must be senile,' Danni mumbled. `What was that Miss Mayo. Were you questioning my mental status? I think you were, and do you know what the punishment is for questioning my mental capabilities? The Spring Roll rocket launcher.' And with that Pete dipped his spring roll in some sauce before throwing it in Danni's general direction. `Pete..' Angie squealed, but Pete wasn't listening. He'd ducked under the table – away from Danni's retaliation. Fortunately for Pete, Danni's Sweet and Sour Pork missed, but unfortunately for all of them, it hit a passing waiter square in the chest. `Whoa...Great shot Dan, way to go' Pete cheered from under the table. Waving his napkin around like a cheerleader. `Out. Out now!!' the waiter yelled, shooing them out. `Never come back! We remember name. Never come back!' `Name. What really is a name? I've had plenty over the past couple of years. I could come again tomorrow, and you wouldn't even know!' Pete yelled back as the others pulled him down the street. `Good one Pete. That was the only decent Chinese around here.' Oscar complained. `Why is this my fault? Danni was the one who hurled the missile...' `Don't you dare go blaming this on me...look what you did to my shirt with your `missile'. This was new you know.' `Oh, I'm sooooo sorry,' Pete mocked. `I'll get you Peter Church.' Danni threatened. `Ohhh, I'm soooo scared!' ************ BACK AT THE FACTORY.... `You're back. Was lunch nice?' Mac asked Pete, as the others stood around watching what they knew would be a good banter. `Great. Delicious. Best Chinese ever.' `Good, because it's going to be your last for a while. Your confined to base.' Mac turned to leave, as the others started to laugh. `Mac you can't do that...you have no reason' `This is going to be a good show, who wants popcorn?' Oscar asked the others. `I don't need a reason. I'm the boss; therefore you have to do what I say. So get comfortable Peter.' Mac smirked as she shut the door to her office. `Not your day is it Pete.' Angie said giving him a supportive pat on the back. `She can't do that.' `Well...She just did.' Danni laughed turning and making her way into the tearoom. `DAMN.' She called out. `What?' Angie asked making her way into the room also. `Light blew. We're gonna have to change it.' `Stand back girls, this is a job for us men.' Pete bellowed as he entered the room, taking up the superman pose. `Yeah, what ever...' Angie and Danni mumbled. Neither of them had wanted to change it anyway. `We'll go find a spare for you,' and they both left, leaving Pete and Oscar standing around the tearoom. `You know...' Oscar said, picking up a banana from the fruit bowl. `Compared to some things, this banana is quite large.' `You know, size really has nothing to do with it,' Pete put in, picking up the other banana. `This one here may be smaller,' he said indicating to the banana in his hand, `but it's thicker – wider, and some may say – better.' `No way mate. With the larger ones at least you know your going to get good value out of it. You know, at least it will fulfill your craving. Yours will just leave the person unlucky enough to get it...unfulfilled.' `Unfulfilled! I'll have you know, this banana could fulfill a lot of people. You don't want them to choke!' `Comparing again I see boys?' Mac questioned as she entered the tearoom to get herself a drink. `Mac. What banana would you chose?' Oscar asked. `I can't answer that,' Mac replied. `Why not. You only have to chose between Pete's small...' `But obviously thicker...' Pete added. `...Banana,' Oscar continued. `Or my larger one.' `Sorry,' Mac apologised. `Out of yours and Pete's I've only ever tried one, and I really don't want to base my opinion on that.' She smiled at them as she left. `She would have chosen mine, she just didn't want to offend you,' Oscar told Pete as they placed there fruit back in the bowl. `Yeah right, whatever you reckon...' `We found one!' Danni yelled as she entered the tearoom, light bulb in hand. `Now let's see Superman and his sidekick screw this up somehow.' Angie laughed as she sat at the table to watch the show. It should be interesting. `Did you turn the switch off Danni?' Pete asked as he climbed the stepladder, and took out the old bulb, handing it to Oscar. `Sure did.' Danni grinned mischievously knowing full well she hadn't. `This will get you back Church. That shirt was expensive, and you ruined it,' she thought as Pete took the new bulb from Oscar, and went to replace it. ZAP!!! The lights in the building flickered as Pete was thrown to the floor by the force of the shock. `Oh, my god. Pete...are you okay,' Angie yelled as she made her way over to him. Kneeling next to him. Pete sat up slightly, allowing Angie to hold him up. `Danni. You are one dead lady.' He muttered before collapsing to the ground again. `What the hell is going...' Mac stopped mid-sentence as she took in the scene around her. Pete was sprawled out on the floor, hair standing on end. Angie was bent over him, looking rather concerned. Oscar was trying to stay out of it and Danni was laughing. `You better take him to hospital,' she sighed. `Does this mean I'm not confined to base anymore?' Pete looked up. Mac only sighed louder though, throwing her hands above her head in exasperation before turning and making her way back into her office. `They can clean up any mess they made themselves,' she thought. ********* LATER THAT EVENING.... `So what's this surprise?' Bill asked as Mac stopped the car by the beach. `You'll just have to wait and see...' Mac replied reaching into the back seat and grabbing a towel, before getting out of the car. Bill followed, and Mac grabbed his hand pulling him onto the sand. `Soooo...?' he questioned. `Nup. Not yet.' She replied grinning before stopping a couple of metres from the waters edge and dumping her stuff. `C'mon. Let's go.' `Where. There's nowhere to go. We're at the beach.' `Swimming, silly. Now let's go.' `Ellen, I didn't bring...' `Who said you'd need them,' Mac replied stripping off her clothes and leaving them with the rest of her stuff, before entering the water. `Ellen...' `Come on Bill. You'll love it. Unless you're afraid.' Mac teased. `I'd be naked in a public place, I am rather apprehensive. We're cops, this is illegal.' `Screw that. C'mon. No one's here.' Mac pleaded. `Okay, okay. The things I do for you Ellen,' Bill laughed as he left his clothes with hers and made his way into the cool water. `Now this isn't that bad is it?' Mac asked making her way over to him. `I could think of worse things,' Bill replied taking her by the waist, and kissing her gently. `What was that?' Bill asked suddenly, pulling back. `What?' Mac asked, leaning in to kiss him again. `Someone's coming.' `Shit, at this time of night,' Mac cursed. `Let's get out of here.' They started to make their way to the shore, only to realise that the passer-by was a lot closer then they thought. `Hey, who's there?' A voice called out. Bill grabbed the beach towel and tried to cover both he and Mac with it. At least they could maintain some dignity. It didn't work though. The towel wasn't as big as they both hoped. `Oh, geez I'm so sorry!' the voice chuckled as he came close enough to see who was there. `Ummm, I'll head back this way and leave you folks to it. Forget about me, I wasn't even here.' He laughed and turned walking back the way he came. `Ellen!' `I'm sorry Bill,' Mac replied before hiding her head in his chest. `Are you laughing?' Bill asked moments later, feeling Mac shake slightly. `No,' Mac squeaked, trying to hold in the laughter that just wanted to bubble up. `I don't see the humour in this situation.' Bill replied, bending down and retrieving his clothes. `It could've been worse Bill.' `I don't see how.' `It could have been the Commissioner, he could have had a torch, and we might have not had a towel!' Mac laughed, as he handed her, her clothes. `So I guess we have to thank your trusty beach towel for saving us from a moment that could have been slightly more humiliating.' `Absolutely!' Mac grinned.`Ellen, next time you say you have a surprise for me....' Bill started. `You'll go along with it, no matter what.' Mac finished, taking his hand. `Yeah, something like that,' Bill laughed as he let go of her hand and placed his arm around her waist. `Come on. Let's go home.' ********** WHILE ALL THAT WAS HAPPENING.... `You should be right. We want to keep you in overnight though. Just in case.' The doctor finished writing his notes and left the room. `Well, faaaaantastic!' Pete mumbled. He'd rather be confined to base, even with Mac there in her crappy mood. `How's the human piece of toast. Not too burnt I hope!' Angie laughed as she entered Pete's room, followed by the others. `Ha-de-ha-ha!' Pete grumbled. `How'd you get in here anyway. Visiting hours is over.' `We have our ways...' Danni added mysteriously. `You're taking a risk being here Danni...' Pete added. `Nah, thought I'd be safe. What can you do to me in a hospital?' `You'd be surprised.' Pete mumbled. `So what'd ya bring me?' He asked brightening up. `Only....this.' Angie grinned. Producing a Tickle me Elmo doll from behind her back. `Enjoy!' `You have got to be kidding me! I'm stuck here in hospital, with all this crappy food, and an uncomfortable bed, and all you bring me is a stuffed toy. Thanks guys, but I think pediatrics is on the third floor.' `No, no. You see these things can provide you with hours of entertainment. You just go like this....and....' Angie trailed off as she once again became engrossed in playing with Pete's present. `She's been like that since we bought it. She won't give it up,' Oscar laughed. `Kinda cute, don't ya think?' `Oscar get over it!' Angie cried. `You got no hope!' `No hope. I'll have you know, I could fulfill you in ways you don't know possible.' `Oscar. Really. Get. Over. It,' Pete sighed, remembering their earlier conversation. `Now Danni, can I ask you a question?' Pete asked. `Sure. Go ahead.' Danni replied, sitting on the edge of the bed. `WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING LEAVING THE SWITCH ON. YOU COULD HAVE KILLED ME.' `I was kind of aiming for slight shock, that would teach you a lesson.' Danni answered. `And it worked.' `IT WORKED!!!' `A little too well I must admit. But that's all in the past.' `DANNI....' `What on earth is going on in here,' the Night Nurse stated as she entered. `What are you people doing here. Visiting hours are over. Now OUT!' `Nice one Pete. Get us kicked out again!' Angie complained as she stood to leave.`But...it was Danni...' `It was not..' `Was too..' 'Not..' `Too...' `OUT!!!' `Yeah, yeah...were leaving...' Oscar, Angie and Danni replied as they filed out. Angie secretly hiding the Tickle Me Elmo in her bag, hoping no one would notice. She'd have fun with it when she got home. Oscar could grouch all he wanted about being `better'. But no one could compare to Elmo. *********** IN A TOTALLY DIFFERENT LOCATION.... `Now this is better, don't you think?' Bill asked Mac as they lay in bed together. `I guess. But it definitely was exciting.' `Embarrassing, humiliating and rather inappropriate, spring into my mind.' Bill laughed as Mac slapped him playfully across the chest. `Yes it was exciting....but I can think of plenty of other things we can do right here, that could be just as exciting' `Mmmm...really,' Mac asked, raising her eyebrows slightly. `Yes....really,' Bill replied kissing her deeply before getting up and heading downstairs. `Where are you going?' Mac sulked. `I'll be back, don't worry.'Bill headed down to the kitchen gathering the requisite materials he needed, while Mac waited for him in the bedroom. `Do you want anything while I'm down here,' he yelled up to her. `No, I'm right...' Mac started to reply. `No wait, on second hand..' she continued. `Can you bring a banana from the fruit bowl? I want to do some comparing...' *********** THE END *********** MORE NOTES.....
