This is nothing but fluff, meaningless blabber that my warped mind created in the hope that you folks might enjoy it ;) and oh yeah, the bit near the end, that wasn't my idea, and the last bit, louise wrote that. YAY lou, it's gonna get posted :S:S Final Note: It's way to long, but OH WELL. :D “Oh Pete, we’re gonna be late if we don’t get up now,” Mac reminded Peter as he kissed her neck, slowly working his way up to just behind her ear. “Who cares, everyone knows anyway,” he whispered, chuckling as he heard her groan. “You told,” she murmured, playfully punching his arm. “No I didn’t tell. And no hitting,” Pete pouted, propping himself up on his elbows so he could look at Mac. “Oh yeah? Whacha gonna do *Peter*?” Mac smirked, making a move to slip out from underneath Pete, but he was too quick and grabbing Mac’s wrists, he pinned them firmly beside her shoulders. “This,” he chuckled, leaning in and kissing her deeply. “Okay that’s good,” she mummed into his mouth, “but I am going to have to give you extra paperwork if you don’t get off me so we can get going and only be ten minuets late instead of a whole hour late. Now go on, get off,” Mac smiled, knowing she had him wrapped around her little finger. “You really are no fun,” Pete grumbled, rolling onto his back crossing his arms on his chest. “Well, I’ll make up for it tonight, how about that?” Mac smiled, kissing Pete’s pouted lips and sliding out of the bed. “Yeah righto. Do I have any other options?” Pete started talking to himself, rolling over to check the time. “Oh shit,” Pete laughed to himself, “Mac no time for a shower! It’s already nine o’clock!” * “Morning. Nice of you to show up,” Angie smirked as Mac ran into the office, only an hour and a half late. “Oh, nice look too. What happened, you spend the night *out* somewhere did you?” Danni laughed at Mac’s un-made face. “Yeah shut up you two, we were just running a little late this morning,” Mac said, biting her tongue and walking up to her office hoping that the others wouldn’t notice that she said we and not I. “We hey?” Angie raised her eyebrows, sending an amused glance at Danni. “Damn it guys, just leave it alone,” Mac groaned, going slightly red. “Nah come on, at lease *one* of us has a life. You gotta entertain us poor little relationship deprived gals,” Angie pushed, following Mac up into her office. “Hey speak for yourself Ange!” Danni laughed, deciding she wanted in on the conversation too. “What, you found yourself a man too?” Angie questioned, sitting down at Mac’s desk. “No, but you still shouldn’t make insinuations,” Danni pouted. “Yeah right. Haven’t you got work to do?” Mac looked pointedly at Angie, who was sitting in her chair. “Yes, we do, but we haven’t had a girls night out for ages. Or even talked!” Angie was ever the gossip queen. “Have we ever had a girls night out for that matter?” Danni looked at the other two, the clogs ticking over in her head. “Okay, if I say you two be at my place at say, six? Then will you go and do some work and get off my back?” Mac sighed, rubbing her head. “Yep,” Angie smiled, jumping up from the chair and walking out of the office yelling out over her shoulder, “I’ll bring the wine.” “I’ll bring dinner. No, even better I’ll bring food and we can cook,” Danni was getting excited and started writing down a shopping list. * ‘Tonight shall have to wait. Sorry, Dan and Ange are coming over to chat :( Don’t worry, the wait will be worth it ;) See ya later. Luv Mac’ Pressing ‘send’, Mac sent the email off to Pete, wishing she could go home and just curl up in bed with, well, Pete. She did love the girls, they were her best friends, but she didn’t want the interrogation that would come with them coming over to dinner. Two minutes later Mac’s computer pinged telling her she had a new email. Opening it up she read what it said: ‘Sure, can I still come over after though? You did *promise* me ;)’ Mac decided she couldn’t be bothered writing another email, instead she just walked to her office door and poked her head around the corner. “Pete,” she said looking around the room. Seeing him lift his head from one of the computers she smiled at him, “that’ll be fine, okay?” Pete look confused for a second, then catching on to what she was talking about he nodded and went back to work. * Ten past six that night Mac’s doorbell sounded. Mac stood up from the couch and padded over to the front door, sighing before opening it to Angie and Danni who had driven over together. “Hey Mac, we did the shopping,” Danni barged in holding up the plastic bags and wandered straight through to the kitchen. Angie opened her arms and took Mac into a huge bear hug that almost knocked her off her feet. “Hey Ange,” Mac whispered into her friends hair, hugging her back. “Hey yourself,” Angie whispered back, pulling away from Mac and smiling at her. “I know you didn’t want us here tonight, but it’ll be good for you. We always have fun so come on,” Angie laughed, grabbing Mac hand and dragging her into the kitchen after Danni. Plonking Mac down on a chair Angie jumped up to sit on the bench, picking at a snow pea. “So Mac, what’s his name?” Angie eyes lit up. “Oh no. No way. We are not playing this game. I’ll tell you later when we’re plastered and you have lost the ability of your functioning memory,” Angie poked her tongue out at Mac and turned back to peeling her snow pea. “Well Angie,” giggled Mac, who had decided to change the subject, “should I be expecting to be asked for some leave anytime soon?” “Huh?” Angie looked up from her pea, thoroughly confused by Mac’s question. “Pete said something about you going to India?” Mac smirked as Angie went red. “Oh my god I’m gonna kill the bastard. He told you!” Angie thew her snow pea at Mac’s head, which landed firmly planted in her hair. Meanwhile Danni had abandoned the pasta to join in more with the conversation. “What happened?” Danni laughed at Angie going red and Mac pulling pieces of snow pea out of her hair. “Oh well Pete caught Angie on the phone on…” Mac started, but was cut off by Angie running towards her yelling, “If you tell I swear to god Mac!” Mac immediately jumped off the stool and started running around the bench while yelling, “Pete came back from having a sleep one day and found Angie all breathless and flushed and on the phone to a guy!” Danni couldn’t contain herself any longer and burst into peels of laughter. “MAC!” Angie couldn’t help herself and started laughing along with the other two, going bright red at the same time. * “Yeah righto, what do you wanna do now?” Mac was getting bored very quickly. “I say Angie tells us who that guy was!” Danni laughed, nudging Angie in the shoulder. “Come on Angie, you tell us and I’ll tell to,” Mac persuaded. “Oh, pinkie promise?” Angie’s eyes lit up. “Okay!” Mac laughed as she held out her pinkie, as Angie army crawled over to Mac’s side of the room on her belly. Flipping over into her back and stretching out her hand so Mac could shake pinkies with her, then flipping back onto her stomach and propping herself up on her elbows Angie persuaded Mac to tell. “Come on, you first,” “Oh do I have to?” Mac groaned, hiding her head in her hands. “Yep,” Angie grinned. “Peter your go,” Mac came out quickly, deciding that was the best approach. “Peter! As in our Peter? Mac, oh my god!” Danni yelled, slapping her hand over her mouth. “Yeah, Pete and me okay. So do you *not* wanna make a big deal out of it?” Mac was obviously embarrassed. “Yeah we do actually,” Angie laughed, getting a shove in the ribs from Danni. “Well I think it’s good. We’ve both moved on now,” Danni winked down at Angie. “So you have found yourself a guy hey?” Mac was really getting into this gossip. “Yeah, but we want to find out who Angie’s little toy boy is first,” Danni giggled, Angie going slightly red. “Oh okay,” Angie sighed, “Mac you’re not gonna like this. It’s Marty,” Angie looked up at Mac, waiting for the yelling to start. “You and Marty *Engle*,” Mac burst out laughing. “What’s so funny?” Angie was feigning being hurt. “Oh nothing, just that you’re dating an informant and I’m going out from someone from the same unit. You know, since it’s all perfectly allowed and all,” Mac was finding it rather amusing. “Well I’m going out with Brian,” laughed Danni, which caused the other two to stop laughing at once. “Brian Grey? From armed rob?” Mac was astounded. “You can’t be serious!” Angie was shocked too. “Well I am, so shut up!” Danni was a little embarrassed. “You’re not, you know, sleeping with him are you?” Mac gasped, wondering how someone could do something like that. “Maybe,” now it was Danni’s turn to go red. “DANNI!” Angie yelled, “okay I need sooooooo much more alcamaohol if I’m going to get that image out of my head anytime soon.” “Here here,” Mac agreed. * “Oops, there goes my shirt up over my head, oh my,” Angie sang to herself, placing her now empty bottle alongside the others and falling onto Danni’s lap in an attempt to get more M & M’s. “They should have pink M & M’s, really they should. What do you reckon guys? Pink, purple or aqua?” Angie examined the M & M before throwing it up in the air and making a feeble effort to catch it in her mouth. “Purple. No way could they have it any other colour,” Mac stated, throwing the M and M at Danni’s open mouth, but instead getting her in the eye. “No way. Aqua. It has to be,” Danni was sure of it. “Nah see pink I reckon. It’s a good colour, goes with lots of things. I loooove pink flowers, they are so prrrrdy,” Angie slurred, trying to get her point across. “Nar. I still say purple. I have a really funky pair of purple shoes and…” Mac was cut off by Danni who was astonished at the fact that she owned purple shoes. “You Miss-I-don’t-even-own-a-pair-of-jeans-Mackenzie owns purple shoes? I so gotta see this!” Danni laughed, as she stumbled to her feet and made her to the bottom of the stairs, looking dismally up them before deciding that seeing Mac’s purple shoes would be worth the effort. Mac had decided that it would be better if she were in her room with Danni when she went shovelling through her closet to find these shoes. Mac assaulted the stairs, and deciding that she wasn’t going to make it up easier any other way she slid up with her back against the wall so she could hold her drink with two hands seeing it wasn’t going to make it to the top with anything in it any other way. Angie was left singing on the living room floor by herself, when all of a sudden she heard a faint knocking. Looking at both her hands and coming to the conclusion that it wasn’t her doing the knocking, she decided that it must be the door and stood up rather slowly before making her way to the front entrance. Opening the door Angie was hit by a burst of freezing cold air, and the shadow of a tall man. “Hey there, what can I do you for?” Angie shivered, slightly sobered by the cold night air. “Are you gonna let me in Ange or is there a password?” Oscar laughed “There’s a password. Defiantly a password and you will *never* guess what it is.” Angie poked her tongue out. “Don’t need to,” Pete emerged from behind Oscar and bent down grabbing Angie by the waist, lifting her into a fireman’s hold. “PETER!” she screamed, thumping him on the back with her fists, “put me DOWN!” “Sure thing,” he agreed, dropping her onto her back on the couch. “Angie what’s going on?” Danni came half walking half falling down the stairs into Oscar who stopped her from plummeting head first into the wall. “The boys decided to gate crash our party,” Angie whinged. “Well you can clean up while we go and get our pyjamas on,” Danni ordered, walking back upstairs to Mac with Angie in tow. * An hour later the girls came back downstairs, each showered and dressed. “Good boys!” Danni exclaimed, noticing the tidied room. “I see you’ve been domesticated rather successfully,” Mac smiled at Pete, having gained the use of her full vocabulary again after a hot shower and a lie down. “You don’t look too good Ange,” Oscar looked at Angie worriedly. “Thanks,” she replied sarcastically, giving him the ups. “Most welcome,” Oscar smiled sweetly, motioning for Angie to come and sit next to him. Danni slid sideways into an armchair as Mac walked over and sat on the floor between Pete legs. “Rub my shoulders,” she ordered, putting her head down and poking her shoulders. “Yes boss,” Pete started kneading Mac’s shoulders slowly. There were a few moments of silence while everyone was thinking or resting, then suddenly Oscar stood up and walked out of the room. “Where’s he going?” Danni asked, not even opening her eyes. The front door banged shut and Mac put her head up. “Outside I guess,” she said, putting her head back down and elbowing Pete in the shins telling him to keep massaging. “I’ll go see,” Angie volunteered, swinging her legs down off the couch and slipping her slippers on. Danni’s eyes snapped open and she jumped up, trotting after Angie and grabbing Mac’s hand on the way, pulling her with her. Pete plodded after them, deciding he didn’t want to be left out. “Oscar!” Angie yelled as soon as she got out the front door. “Come on Ange!” Oscar yelled back from the street. “What are you doing?” she asked, jumping up and down on the spot in an attempt to keep warm. “Setting up goals, come on,” Oscar was running up and down the street outside Mac’s house, looking for things he could use as goal posts. “Uh, okay,” Angie frowned, walking slowly out to the middle of the street to where Oscar was standing holding a soccer ball. “I had my ball in the car and it was boring in there,” he pointed to the house with one hand while he threw the ball up with the other, letting it bounce off his head. Mac was the only one left on the sidewalk by this time, the others thought soccer was a good idea to warm up. “Come on Mac! You’ll warm up heaps!” Angie coxed. “I can think of better ways to warm up,” she muttered, sending a suggestive glance in Pete’s direction. “You and Pete can go and *warm up* later when we’ve all gone home,” Danni laughed, walking over and grabbing Mac by the arm. * Pete weaved past Mac and Danni and kicked the ball as hard as he could towards Angie who was acting as goalie. “ARGH!” she screamed as she fell to the ground, ducking out of the way of the hurtling ball. “Oh yeah,” Oscar laughed, running around with his hands in the air and the front of the shirt over his head, “we rock, you suck, we rock, you suck!” he chanted. Pete joined in, both doing a victory dance. Danni raced to get the ball as Angie had an idea. “HaHA!” she screamed, as she flung herself towards Pete and jumped onto his back, wrapping her arms around his eyes and her legs around his waist. Danni ran past the two with the ball tucked under her arm and straight up to the goal, placing it on the line and giving it a huge kick over. Oscar came running over to see what she had done. “Dan no way was that allowed,” he grumbled. “Well you’re boys and I mean, come on! What sort of a team are Mac and Angie? I mean, just look at them!” Danni motioned in the direction of Angie, who was hanging of Pete’s back while he was running around like a headless chicken trying to get her off his back, and Mac who was chasing after them trying to make sure Pete didn’t fall over and break anything. “Yeah you’re right. God! How come we subject ourselves to this menial torture by keeping the company of these insane, socially deprived ignoramus,” Oscar blurted out suddenly. Danni just gave him a funny look. “Oscar have you been playing dumb for four years or did you eat a dictionary?” “I dunno,” he shrugged, walking off to get the ball as Mac ran up to Danni. “Let’s go inside, I think the neighbours will be worried about the crazy people running around in their pyjamas at two in the morning attempting to play soccer,” “Very true,” Danni agreed, walking inside. * “Mac can we stay here tonight?” Pete asked, deciding it was too late to go home. “Yes. But you are not going to sleep unless you have a shower. Now go away,” Mac shooed them in the direction of the bathrooms. Five minutes later Pete was seated back in the lounge room in Mac’s fluffy white bathrobe as the girls channel surfed, trying to decide which info-mercial was the most pathetic. Oscar came toddling out ten minutes later in boxers holding something in his hand. “Mac,” he said, holding out a vibrator, “this was behind my towel and I didn’t think it looked like a good thing to put in a linen cupboard.” “Oh my god,” Mac muttered, snatching it quickly off Oscar trying not to let anyone else see. “Mac,” Danni started, looking up, “is that a…” she was cut off quickly. “Maybe,” Mac flushed, turning quickly and bounding off up the stairs. “A what?” Angie asked, not knowing what was going on. Danni lent over and whispered into Angie’s ear, telling her what she had seen. Angie’s eyes lit up as she slapped her hand over her mouth. “Are you sure cause Mac doesn’t seem like the kind to….” Angie trailed off. “Oh well, girls have needs too I guess,” Danni smirked, looking back to the TV. “What was that all about?” Oscar was confused, not knowing what he had been holding. “Nothing Stonie, we won’t corrupt your poor little innocent mind,” Danni pulled him down to sit next to her, throwing her arm around his shoulder. Mac came slowly back down the stairs avoiding making eye contact with Danni and Oscar and settled herself back between Pete’s legs so he could massage her shoulders again. * All of a sudden, Danni jumped to her feet. “I’ve got an idea,” she stated with a grin disappearing into the kitchen. A few moments later, she reappeared holding an empty wine bottle. “What are you up to, Danni?” Mac asked suspiciously. “We are going to play a game, boys included!” Danni replied sitting down next to Mac and Pete. “Now, if we’re going to play this properly, Mac you’ll have to move next to Pete and Oscar and Angie have to join the happy little circle!” Oscar shook his head, “if we’re playing spin the bottle count me out.” Angie slapped Oscar over the shoulder, “you’re no fun Oscar…anyway, it’s called truth or dare.” “That makes me feel a whole lot better,” Oscar stated sarcastically. “Don’t be an old stick in the mud,” Danni laughed as she placed the bottle in the middle of the circle. Danni spun the bottle and after a few rotations, it stopped, pointing at Mac. “Mac, Mac, Mac, Mac, Mac…” Danni started with a chuckle. “Truth or dare?” “Don’t know what will be worse with you asking…um, truth.” Danni thought for a moment, “all right, where’s the riskiest place you’ve ever had sex?” “Easy, the elevator at HQ,” Mac replied. Danni and Angie cracked up laughing. “We haven’t had sex there,” Pete whispered to Mac. Mac shrugged, “I didn’t say it was with you, did I?” “Who was it with then?” Pete asked. “Sorry Pete, she can’t answer that, it’s another question,” Angie replied for Mac’s benefit. “Thanks Ange,” Mac said with a smile, pouring herself another glass of red. Pete continued to watch Mac, seeing if he could read her look, but she gave nothing away. The bottle started spinning again, this time landing on Danni. “I’ll take truth, thankyou,” Danni stated confidently knowing Mac was asking the question. Mac grinned, “how long have you been sleeping with Brian Grey for?” “MAC!” Danni yelled. Oscar and Pete shooting her deep glances. “Brian Grey?” They asked simultaneously. Danni stared down at Mac, who was laughing uncontrollably. “Two months!” She replied shortly, moving to spin the bottle once more. “I’ll get you back on your next turn,” Danni warned. The bottle stopped on Pete this time. “Truth or dare?” Asked Danni. Pete looked at Mac with a smile, “I’ll be brave and choose dare!” “Kiss Oscar…on the lips,” Danni dared, laughing as she watched Pete’s jaw drop to the ground. “Get stuffed, if you think I’m doing that you’ve got another thing coming,” Pete replied, with his nose turned up. Angie shook her head, “Bad luck you have to, it’s a dare!” “I wouldn’t want to break Mac and Pete up,” Oscar said. Mac shrugged, “I don’t mind, just as long as it doesn’t go any further.” Angie, Mac and Danni started laughing. Pete and Oscar looked at one another awkwardly. “Oh come on, what are you scared of…actually feeling something?” Danni asked gasping for breath as she continued to laugh. “NO!” Pete and Oscar snapped. “Pucker up boys! You’re holding up the game,” Mac laughed, pushing Pete over in Oscar’s direction. Pete turned around to the girls, “what goes on in here, stays in here, right?” He waited until they all nodded and turned back to Oscar. “He’s lucky Brian isn’t here, otherwise I would have made those two pash!” Danni whispered. Angie and Mac both pulled faces, trying not to allow the picture into their heads. Pete and Oscar both leant in towards one another, screwing up their noses and closing their eyes, hesitating just before their lips touched. Finally they did to the screams of the girls. “WOO-HOO!!!!” Angie, Mac and Danni hooted in between laughs. Pete and Oscar both turned bright red as Pete hurried back into position next to Mac. Danni spun the bottle again. “Should I be jealous?” Mac whispered in Pete’s ear. “There’s no reason why you should be…meanwhile, when are you going to give me what you promised?” Mac smiled, “later.” “Mac, it’s already half past three in the morning,” Pete whined. “We can’t exactly do anything while those three are here, can we?” “I had to kiss Oscar in front of you girls!” Mac shook her head, “that’s different…you were just kissing and it was a dare.” “Angie…” Danni cooed as the bottle stopped at her. “Truth or dare?” Pete asked. “Don’t be too scared to say dare, I promise I won’t be as immature as Danni,” he added. “I can handle anything, dare.” “I dare you to call a…taxi for you, Danni and Oscar to go home,” Pete stated. “What, and give them a fake address?” Angie asked with a grin. Pete shook his head, “no, I mean literally go home, the three of you.” Angie caught on, “oh, I get it…you two want some time…” “Well, I was promised,” Pete replied, raising an eyebrow suggestively and looking at Mac. “That’s ok, all the alcohol has gone anyway,” Angie said, grabbing the phone. *
