Characters Involved:
After sufficiently humilating Fargot Blackforge, the four headed to the air dock in the center of Middleton.  Being an "air sailor" A'tar hoped to run into an old friend who could give the party access to a ship.  As the party walked into the door of the 300 ft. tower, they were greeted by a sly looking S'skra attendant.
"What do ss you wantss?" asked the grim lizard.
"When need to get a ship." A'tar promptly replied.
"That'sss not my problem. Yousss can't climb the laddersss withssout a passss." hissed the S'skra.
Garrat knew about Middleton's air dock receptionists, and slowly walked to the desk and dropped a coupled Ontis in front of the S'skra.  The attendant motioned to ladders and kicked his feet up onto the table in front of him.

Inside the towere there were eight ladders, two on each wall, leading to different sections of the dock.  After a tiring climb, the party found themselves on a huge wooden platform surrounded by extremely well dressed humans and elves, and many poorer looking ship hands of various races.  Noticing that this side of the docks is constantly guarded, Tuck searched for an adequate distraction.  Meanwhile A'tar walked slowly passed the different vessels to find one that was small and unmanned.  Tuck saw a large vessel whose gangplank was full of people hauling boxes on and off.  Quickly Tuck rolled his eyes and pointed a basic token towards one of the servants.  Although the burdened target did not fall off the plank, as Tuck had hoped, he drew enough attention to distract the guards.  The poor ship hand ran back onto to the vessel from where he was carrying a crate, and collided with people carrying loads the opposite direction.

A'tar found a small vessel suited for transport of small amounts of cargo over short distances.  The ship was in disrepair, but still flyable.  While Tuck continued casting bewilder on other poor fools hoping to distract the guards further, the other three sneaked onto the boat.  Deciding that sneaking on didn't have enough flare,  Tuck grabbed some nearby rope and tied one end around his waist.  Tuck focused a token on the other end and mimed tying a knot.  Making sure no one was paying attention to him, Tuck decided to try out the Magic Grappling Hook spell he just learned.  He tossed the enchanted end of the rope towards the boat where his allies waited patiently, and watched with sheer pride as it wrapped around the mast and held tight.  So excited that he had cast his first Thaumaturgic spell correctly, Tuck jumped up and shouted his victory.  After a moment the eager mage realized how foolishly he had expressed his joy as the guards came running towards him.

"GO!! GO!! For the love of Pete GO!!!" Tuck yelled to A'tar.
Unsure of how well the ragged vessel woudl fly, A'tar barked out orders to the other two as he took the helm and turned hard to pull the boat away from the dock.  The pirate was able to just drag their magical comrade off the docks behind them before the guards reached their prize, but the group had bearly cleared the boundaries of Middleton when they saw Imperial air patrol ships behind them.  Garrat pulled Tuck into the boat, and the mage untied the rope and began to re enchant one end of it.  A'tar positioned the boat so their pursuers would approach on either side of them.  Tuck tossed the enchanted end of the rope towards one of the Imperial vessels and succesfully ensnared the vessel.  He then attached the other end firmly to the group's mast.

A'tar always believed that every successful fight begins with an intimidating stare.  He turned to the other vessel and snarled staring at the sailor about to load an elemental cannon.  The young sailor ran screaming to the back of the boat and cowered.  Tuck yelled to A'tar to turn hard right, and A'tar pulled at the healm with all his might.  The group's vessel truned with enough force to pull the attached Imperial vessel into the other one.  The deck hand on the attached vessel cut the rope just in time for the captain to turn the boat away again.  Despite their best evasive efforts, one of the cannons shot a blast of elemental fire through the groups sails.

While the others franticly prepared to abandon ship, Kira raced up to the burning mast and grabbed a chunk of flaming wood.  Kira then sped towards the furthest vessel's sails, and returned their favor.  A'tar turned their quickly burning boat towards the othe vessel.  As he approached, he yanked the helm hard so the front of the Imperial ship would impale their own.  Upon collision the pirate lept onto the Imperial deck and lunged towards the helm.  Garrat followed and hid himself behind a crate.  Kira charged towards the deck hand coming up behind A'tar, and tried to shove him off the boat.  Kira barely budged the scared human, and A'tar knocked both sailors into the sky below.  Tuck was rummaging around the quickly falling wreckage of their first vessel for anything salvagable, and then he attached himself to the new boat and waited for the group to tow him.
