Sketch Studies of Isherwood's works.

MY STUDIES OF ISHERWOOD'S WORKS.

SKY IMAGES. On the left is my ballpoint pen representation of the actual painting, above right. In sketch format, it is hard to recreate Isherwood's unusual style. As a result, the sketch I have done is not exactly identical, but I have tried to duplicate Isherwood's brush strokes using a medium other than paint.

VARIOUS SKETCHES. Above are quick ballpoint pen studies of two of Isherwood's paintings. Unfortunately, I was unable to find their names. I liken the image on the left, presumably a marketplace, to some of Lowry's one-point perspective street scenes. The landscape sketch on the right is reminiscent of Lowry's 'House on the Moor' (below) in the way the hills gradually 'fade into' the background.
