2005 Men’s Player of the Week
Week 1 –Apr. 19th
Brent McGuire- Brent carried Green to their first win of the season in Week 1. His 1st Hat-trick of the season has the Green team hoping for an upper bracket playoff birth.
Honourable mention- Brad Cripps Had 2 goals and a couple of posts in a crushing
defeat of rival Black
Thomas Wolfer Made big stops and started the season off right 1-0
Sterling
Luedee Was
left out to dry at times but kept
game until a late 3rd. period fluke.
WayneBousfield/Joel Petkoff The new 1 2 tandem has Black off
to a great start. 5 pts. Between the two.
Andrew Oesch 2 goals and 4 assists with Teal in their first game ever.
Had a brief stint with Yellow last year.
Brian Normore 3 goals and 2 assists in his debut.
Brad Naylor 2 goals to keep Red on a winning streak. 11 games
Unbeaten for Red, dating back to last year.
Week 2-Apr 26th
Joel Petkoff- Joel
spent last season on team
Honourable mention- Jason Hopkin Had Teal worried with 3 goals. Almost got
White their first win ever.
Tim Ware Caused havock all over the floor and scored
2 goals to bring
Sterling Luedee Picked up his first of the season with a
commanding 4-1 victory.
Tommy Dickinson Showed he can play forward too. Goalie of the
year in 2004 picks up 2 goals and an assist.
Adam Petch Scored 2 goals after only 1 in 2004.
Wayne Bousfield Has led the league in scoring for almost 15 years.
Grabbed 2 goals and 3 assists.
Week 3-May 3rd
Honourable Mention- Charlie Gair Had 2 goals and 1 assist in a losing cause
for
Mike Rovere Picked up the first ever shutout and win
for White.
Joe Field Helped Green win their second with 2 goals
Week 4-May 10th
Charlie Gair- With
only five players on the floor, Charlie Gair showed
for his best game in two years. Charlie
scored 2 goals and added 2 assists to keep
Honourable Mention- Shane Thompson 3 Goals as Yellow gets first win.
Justin Normore 3 Goals for White and they earn a tie with second place Black.
Chris Hall Shutout Green for his first of the season
Derek Naylor Scores 2 in Red’s fourth straight victory
Week 5-May 17th
Chris Hall “Hallsy” has made his return an easy one as he picks up a huge win against Red. His timely stops including a post-to-post save with seconds left saved Red and kept the winning streak at 5 and unbeaten streak at 17 not including playoffs.
Honourable Mention- Mike Kempton Blanks Green after losing twice to them last year.
Joel Petkoff Scored some impressive goals and picked up 5 points.
Sterling Luedee Kept White to 1 goal in a penalty filled game.
Brad Naylor Without his 2 goals, Red would have lost the first game in 2 years.

Week 6-May 24th
Mike Rovere made lots of stops in the crunch as White ties Blue 2-2.
Honourable Mention- Ryan Busby 3 goals and 4 assists in his second game back.
Thomas Wolfer Kept Yellow down to one goal in a great tie 1-1.
Brandon Valente Had a hat trick playing on a line with Oesch and Busby.
Kempton/Hall Mike Kempton and Chris Hall made for a great goalie
Matchup as the two best keepers played to a 4-4 draw.
Week 7-May 31st
Jim Cavanagh In his first game had 3 goals 2 assists and nearly scored off the opening draw.
Honourable Mention Ryan Busby bound to win it sooner or later 3 more goals
Dave Brooks 5 goals against a last place Blue team
Graham McCulloch 3 goals in a rout over hometown nemesis Rovere.
Week 8-June 7th
Mike MacDonald Mike scored a goal and had helpers on the
other 3 to beat Red.
Honourable Mention Team Blue Beat Red for their first loss in 3 years, Blue’s first victory ever!!!
Joel Petkoff 2 goals and an assist. Helped Black spark come from behind tie.
Wayne Bousfield 1 goal and 3 assists to help Black come from behind as well.
Shane Thompson 2 goals as Yellow nearly beat the only undefeated team in the league.

Week 9-June 14th
Phil McIntyre Phil shredded the

Joe Field 2 goals against Red in a loss.
Joel Petkoff 2 goals and 3 assists in a win over Teal
Mike Stephens 2 goals and an assist over Teal
Luc Wood 3 goals against White.

Week 10-June 21st
Ryan Busby “Buzz” had 3 goals and 2 assists
for Teal as they beat Yellow and picked up
Honourable Mention Brandon Valente 2 goals and an assist against Yellow.

Dave Brooks 3 goals 4 assists in a win against White
Brad Cripps 2 goals in a win against Red
Charlie Gair 1 and 1 against Red.
Sterling Luedee Stopped all but 1 against Red
Thomas Wolfer Beat Blue with another strong goaltending performance.
Week 11-June 30th
Matt Walinga His 2nd goal an “end to end” effort, won it for Teal over Blue.
Honourable Mention Chris Hall Brought Red back to their winning ways against Yellow

PLAYOFFS
Week 1-July 12th
Mike Kempton Without Mike in net Black might have found themselves down by a bunch. Kempton kept them in the game with save after save.
Honourable Mention Ian Boileau picked up the overtime win for Yellow, made some nice stops along the way.
Jim Cavanagh scored the winner in OT against Black.
Wayne Bousfield had 2 goals but was exhausted at the end of this one.
Chris Hall Allowed one goal in the first playoff game in two years.

Ryan Prueter Ryan “Firefighter” Prueter put out White’s flames with 4 goals this week.
Honourable Mention Me I had a goal and 6 assists…..Hi Mom!!!!!
Ian Boileau Put Yellow into back-to-back finals with a great game against Black.
Chris Henderson Forced a game 3 against Red as he was stellar in net for Teal.
Brad Cripps kept his scoring streak alive.
Week 3-July 26th
Darren McIntyre Sister Meighan must have taken Darren out in the driveway and shown him some moves. 1goal and 2 assists put Red into the final.
Honourable Mention Brad Naylor 2 goals for Big Naylor
Jay McGuire Had 3 goals and an assist in the toilet bowl’s first game.
Brad Cripps scored 3 and added an assist in the first game of the Coconut Cup
Steve and Geoff Heinz each had three points in game 1 of the toilet bowl for White.
Week 4-Aug 2nd
Tim Mansfield Playing D on the Red Snappers, Tim scored two goals in the first game of the finals.
Honourable Mention Steve Atkinson Had 2 goals against

Week 5-Aug 9th
Chris Hall Red goalie played excellent in the second game to help Red win their 3rd title in a row, Chris’ 2nd in 3 years.
Honourable Mention Kyle Hotham set up 2 goals in the final game.
Jay Mercer Helped Green win the toilet bowl with 6 points.
Matt Wolfer Helped win the Coconut cup with a goal and an assist.
