| Politicians Know What�s Best for Us
At least they think they do � A bill introduced in the South Carolina Legislature March 22 will stop smoking in restaurants across the state. Richland County Representative J. Todd Rutherford (D) introduced H 3795 which will make it unlawful for anyone to smoke in a restaurant. No exceptions are made in the proposed law. If you go to a restaurant you won�t be able to smoke inside. If you smoke you may be fined 50 to 75 dollars. There are eight cosponsors to Rutherford�s bill. John Scott, Lonnie Hosey, Jerry Govan and Gilda Cobb-Hunter, Democrats; and Glen Hamilton, Dwight Loftis, Edward Pitts and Garry Smith � Republicans. To read the entire bill click on 3795. |
