On March 22, 1946, Alpha Phi Alpha founded perhaps the greatest chapter in all the land and its existence. At the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, the birth of the "Bloody" Gamma Delta chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated came to be. From the minute that the chapter was established, it was known that this wouldn't be your normal, everyday chapter. True enough, Gamma Delta upholds all of the aims, scopes, and principles of Alpha Phi Alpha, but this chapter will represent Alpha like no one else. The Bloody GD brothers are easily distinguished from the rest, and you would have to meet one to know why.
To other brothers, do not take this as if we feel we are better because no one Alpha man is greater than another Alpha Man. It's just that there is no other breed of Alpha as Gamma Delta, and there never will be. We represent not only in the classroom, but beyond. Ask a brother in Arkansas who won the State Scholars Bowl, the Oratoracle, and who won the Step Show. Then listen to that brother utter, "Gamma-D". You see, All Alpha men must represent, and Gamma Delta influences its brothers, as well as others, to forever move onward and upward towards the light.
