"Sam"
Sam was another shelter dog.  At two years old, and after waiting hopelessly for 4 weeks for his owner to come and claim him, he began to suffer the effects of shelter life.  He became depressed, lost weight, and caught a treatable, but miserable case of mange.  Sam came home with Erin early in June and within a couple of days, had a terrific couple nearby willing to foster him.  He was instantly at home and came "back to life" in no time.  The Mitchell's adopted Sam after fostering him throughout the summer while he recovered from mange and being treated for heartworms.  Now he lives a life of luxury and pure joy from day to day with these wonderful people, who loved him from day one, even as rough as this poor boy looked.  Thank you Jacquie and Fred!  You helped change a precious life and shared love with little Sam, who was at one time thrown away.
