"Rebel"
Rebel was actually transferred from and independant rescuer in TN to LBR after he was found running stray by a good samaritan and brought to a veterinarian in her area.  The rescuer then took it upon herself to make an attempt to find his original home, which unfortunately never was found.  She then had him neutered and updated on his vaccinations before transfering Rebel to us a few weeks later.  She also spent a great deal of time getting to know this sweet boy in order to help find the best home for him.  Rebel's only concern with us was that he didn't like cats, but we placed in a home where he wasn't around any, but had another Boxer to play with.
The Joyners, had already adopted Dixie about a year and a half earlier from another Boxer Rescue program and felt that she needed a friend to keep her company.  And in November of 2002 they came to us just knowing that their adoptive "son" was here waiting for them.  Rebel and Dixie, joined by their skin brother, Dalton, now keep the Joyner house hopping with Boxer antics and games!  Rebel is pictured on the right with part of his new, forever family, Dixie and Dalton.  Congratulations to the Joyner family for their newest addition!
