"Amber"

Amber and Annie were orphaned as puppies at the age of 2 1/2 weeks, and surrendered to LBR when the breeder felt that they weren't thriving on traditional hand raising.  We decided to give it a shot.  These girls were literally half-pints, and came in with a mild dermatitis to boot.  After weeks of feeding them both a special mixture recommended by a long time breeder of show boxers and good friend to Erin, Peggy Otto of PRO Boxers in Summerville, they both were happy, healthy and ready for vaccinations and to be adopted to new loving homes.
Amber's adoption was a special case, a cousin of a very dear friend of Erin's, who lived quite a long distance away desperately wanted to adopt one of these girls.  Knowing that we couldn't have been offered a better home for Amber, regardless of the distance, Erin lovingly placed Amber on a plane to Colorado in early October 2002, where her new family, the Horton's were waiting for their new little girl Boxer to arrive.  Amber now lives with a set of twin skin kid sisters, a couple of house cats, an Australian Shepherd mix named "Willow", her new parents and even a few horses that mom, Jennifer, boards and trains for people at her home.  She is an active little girl and the Hortons have promised us regular updates and pictures as she grows.  Congratulations to Amber and the Horton family!!!
