This movie came out on November 22, 1996. The Borg were in it, so that made a big hit along with many things.

Star Trek: First Contact, Summary:
This movie starts out with Picard having a nightmare  about his assimilation 6 years ago into Locutus. When he wakes up, he recieves a message from Admiral Hayes, tellinh him that a colony was destroyed. Picard already knew it was the Borg. In the conference room, Picard talks with the rest of the crew, and tells them that they have been ordered, to patrol.....the neutral zone. In case the Romulans decide to take advantage the situation. Everone is apalled. Then, the battle begins, and Picard can't stand listening to all the dying people so he disobeys orders, and jumps into the battle. After an impressive battle sequence the Enterprise finds a weak spot in the Cube assaulting Earth, and destroys it (with the help of all the ships that were left). Right before total destruction, a Sphere launches from the Cube, and goes back in time to assimilate Earth in the past. Picard and crew follow. Once they go back in time, they find the Sphere firing at Earth, so they destroy it. They soon find out that the Borg had beamed-in undetected and started to assimilate the ship. They then start to fight back. Meanwhile an away team is stranded on Earth, trying to convince warp inventer, Zefram Chocrane to continue with his scheduled launch of the warp ship, Pheonix. For the rest of the movie, these two things are going on.

Music: The music was just under the Wrath of Khan in quality. It was very moving and fitting. 5/5
Enjoyability: This is my favorite Star Trek film, and one of my favorites out of all the movies I have watched! 5/5
Plot: The Borg....need I say more:)5/5
Overall: This movie was fantastic in all categories. It was well written, well played out, and is a great accomplishment. The special effects are the best I've ever seen. This movie has won several awards, and should win more. This IS my favorite movie of all time.  All I have to say now is...I can't wait to get a DVD player with a HD-TV!! 4.9/5
